I will bow out, but I wish to say that I am the poster of the evil poll thread. I am a mom. But as a nurse I see patients die from cruelly debilitating diseases frequently. I guarantee, if you were sick, you would want me as your advocate. I will compassionatly treat you and your loved ones in a kind and highly educated manner.

So what I wanted to say is that I am completely for IVF. My poll was about the leftover fertilized eggs. No more no less. I have never understood why folks who are wholeheartedly against embryonic stem cell research are not vocally against leftoverfertilized eggs being discarded. I don't get the disconnect and want to understand.

I respect what each and everyone of you has to go through to have a baby. What a heartwrenching ordeal. It is an ordeal filled with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

I wish you all success and happy healthy babies.

And....to those who decide to donate your unused fertilized eggs to stem cell research...Bless you.

To those who allow there eggs to be donated to infertile couples - bless you too.

And guess what...those who allow their eggs to sit in deep freeze unable to make that difficult decison -bless you too.

I did not mean to anger anyone.

OK then...back to TTC!

Did you buy some hpt and test today Kelly?

I hope everyone else is doing great! :goodvibes

Oh, and a big :grouphug: to all of my TTC girls that were involved earlier. We don't need any additional stresses!

Guys...

I am so sorry that this thread has been linked now to the Poll about embroyos with IVF -- people are now hijacking our TTC thread. I am so sorry!

Carla - I am especially sorry to you since you have been brought into the fray.

The thing I loved most about this thread was that it was so supportive in nature and now I feel like it has been taken over by angry other posters who just want to bash us because of things said in another post.

Them linking this thread to the poll thread was uncalled for.

We have all commented on numerous occassions in this thread that unless people go through infertility - it is hard for them to understand what we have gone through. Those on the other thread have taken that to mean we wish infertility on others -- we all know that is not the case and I am truly sorry that this thread has been dragged into that mess.

I am shocked at the cruelty that runs rampant on these boards -- someone actually posted that God made me infertile for a reason...it is amazing to me that people can say things like that.

Anyway my friends -- just too much stress and I feel bad for my part in causing it and leading it to our wonderful thread.

I am sorry!
You are the one who linked the two. The poll was put up and the next post was yours telling her how horrible she was. Then you proceded to call others idiots followed by the gem of your hell comment. The only one who was out of line there was you.

So, I'm on CD20 & still no O. This is my 1st month off BCP, so who knows when I'll O! LOL We'll BD as much as we can this weekend, just in case O happens in the next 2-3 days...

I hope everyone else has a great weekend! :teeth:

Thought you ladies may like this one...
I went to the movies yesterday with some friends (saw Marie Antoinette- not as bad as I thought it was going to be but ultimately indifferent towards it- it was only $4 -yay matinee prices- so even if it sucked it would have been ok- have paid more for worse movies) Anyway.... I was wearing this little velour exercise pant/hoodie outfit that DH got me from motherhood maternity. After the movie we hit the restroom and as I'm waiting for one of my friend to finish this girl comes up to me and asks where I had gotten my outfit because it was just so cute!!! Then I had to tell her that it was pregnancy clothes. :) It made my day actually.

Thank you Becky for starting the thread and try going to the library to check in. Went for another u/s and bloodwork. One follicle on right and two on left. I have to take 225 tonight and tommorrow night and then back on Saturday. Biggest one was 13
are you doing injectibles? good luck!!

Carla, so glad you got to see the little mini me! i am so excited for you!

Kelly- wishing you a BFP!! keep us posted! :wizard:

So did the post op today and talked about the next step. i am healing perfectly from the lap. he said he recommended trying injectibles now. i've done 4 months clomid only with the gyno, no luck last year. then i've done the 2 IUIs plus low dose clomid in Aug/Sept with BFN, but lots of follies/eggs. So he suggests low dose Follistim for me. i'll start it tonight (CD5), even though it is a few days later than we would have liked. I have to do 100 ius the next 4 nights. The injections aren't covered by my ins, but the IUI procedure is. Fortunately, they had some 'sample' cartridges left from the drug rep and I got one- a 600 IU one. so that is enough for my four 100 iu injections! awesome to get it for free. i was so so grateful. how much would that normally cost? I know the cartridges can start at like $200 and go up from these depending on dose?

i go for u/s on tues/wed/thurs next week for monitoring and bloodwork. Tuesday will be CD9 for the first u/s. He said the injectible willl make an overall better/more conducive environment for pregnancy as compared to the clomid. plus it wont thin my lining, which did happen.

Can anyone share w/ me their experience on the Follistim? i am nervous about doing the shot! might have to have DH help on that one tonight. i am really hoping this does it. especially since i just had the lap a week ago. i am jumping right back in! :confused3 :)

Has anyone read the book "Infertility Sucks"? My friend gave it to me last night and i started it. I recommend it if you need a laugh. it is a funny book about all we go through and how others react----the old "relax and it will happen"....etc. It is greatness and a good way to cheer up with all the TTC stress. My friend that gave it to me goes to the same specialist. she is a childhood family friend. i should say 'went'. she is 5 months along now. i am hoping for the same success!

I do injections of glonal f not that difficult I do it on the stomach and with my gut there is alot of cushion lol

Hi everyone....wow...gone 1 day and I missed a lot!

Anyway....moved in some of our stuff today to the house. I haven't had time to do a test (maybe thats good? ;) ). DH just went to get more of the boxes out of the storage unit, and I think my secret stash of HPT's are in one of those boxes :rolleyes1 - so I may test tonight. I will keep everyone posted. I have been feeling really yucky today - really bad cramping and bloating feeling. Could just be AF....but I am hoping it is something more. We will see!

I will log-on later and let you know the results if I do take a test.... :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! I am out of time today. I will see you all when I get back! I will try to eat something sinful for y'all, and I found out that ice cream in small quantities doesn't bug me ;)

I might check in while away, but if not, I will see you all in a week :wave2:

So, I just took a HPT....it was definelty a BFN. Not even a hint of a second line. I am 8DPO, so I am going to wait until Monday to test again.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend! We are in for some wild weather up here in NH!

Hello, everyone! So sorry to see we got hijacked! I hope you're all doing well.

arizonacolbys- it may take you a few months to start o'ing. Just hang in there- then you can obsess over the tww with the rest of us.

kelly26- what are you talking about? You know you aren't going to wait until Monday to re-test. :rotfl:

I am on pod 6, due the 3rd. I went to the dollar store today, and bought 6 tests. Of course they're in huge boxes with Pregnancy Test on them! They were crowded, people in line before and after me. So I throw them up on the counter, no way to do it discreetly. Hopefully this will be the last time I go there! Today was a bfn, we'll see what the rest of the week has in store.

For those of you still trying, my friend conceived without trying the first time, the second time it took 2 ½ years! They just tried naturally, never got checked out or anything. She said as soon as they gave up, she got pg. Just goes to show you what stress can do! BFP to all! pixiedust:

I just have to say this and then I will bow out of this thread seeing how I am no longer TTC. This thread was NOT hijacked. A poster on THIS thread made some horrible responses about other posters on the poll thread AND this one.

I honestly think the people who did post on this thread were very kind and only defending someone who was being raked over the coals and being called a moron.

Hope you ladies all have lots of luck and get BFPs soon.

Well, I'm on cycle day 25 and STILL no O. Since I've been charting (started in April), CD29 is the latest I've O'd. The earliest is CD20, so I tried to start our BD'ing on CD19...poor DH is worn out! :teeth: He told me that in his 20's he used to dream of weeks like this, but he's an old man now and he "can only 'do it' once a month whether he needs it or not". :rotfl: Such a goof!

Meanwhile, we've learned an important lesson about BD'ing and kittens in the same room...especially kittens who like to pounce on anything that moves! I don't think further details are necessary... ;)

I am sorry but we did get highjacked so someone made a mistake and then you come over to our thread. Our safe place to talk about anything and everything.

Too funny! We always take our cats out of the room. They all just get way too interested in what's going on ;)

re: kittens -- our cat hides out under the bed or runs downstairs -- thankfully he's not THAT playful!

So, at 16DPO on our second cycle trying, bright and early this morning I got a BFP!!! I'd barely put the stick down and it was already showing two lines!

I wish everyone else lots and lots of babydust! :wizard:

Looks like mom and dad get their "Nana" and "Papa" ears today!! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Wow! Congratulations! What is your secret? If you don't mind me asking, what exactly did you do? Please tell us! :listen:

Kelly-I agree with fanofdisney. Aren't you the one who sometimes tests a few times a day? There is no way you will wait! :rotfl:

Wow, Mel! Congratulations!! I hope you have a smooth pregnancy. :goodvibes

We were BDing every other night, but then the past two nights we didn't. We did this morning, though. I hope I didn't miss anything! I'm on CD16. I *think* I had some EWCM three or four days ago. Not sure about my actual O day as I am awful with remembering to do my temps. *sigh* DH was tired Thursday night and last night we were both exhausted after the football game. If this month we get another BFN, I really need to make more of an effort to temp to make sure we're doing things at the right time.

LOL about the kittens! Our dog sometimes will watch us and I always have to throw a pillow at him to stop if I notice. It makes me uncomfortable. Then this morning, we had DS try to open the door. He was supposed to be eating breakfast. Good thing we had the door locked! Definitely do NOT want to get into all of that with a three year old. Especially since he thinks his ***** is called a "peanut" (that's how he says it). And since girls don't have a peanut, he thinks they pee out of their butt. :p I haven't bothered to explaint it more than that yet. :rolleyes1

Congrats! :cheer2: .

I thought your mouse ears idea was great! I am still trying to decide how to tell my family when it happens for us.
