Hi everyone! I have been reading since the beginning but was waiting to see how things turned out this month before joining. No + so here I am. DH and I have two wonderful boys 7 and 4. We have been trying for #3 for two years with no luck. DS7 happened the first month we tried, DS4 took about six months.

I love my boys and am thankful that I am blessed with two wonderful children but just don't feel done. We would be happy with either a boy or girl so we keep trying.

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. Good luck to everyone!

momsully- You are most welcome!! ;) Good luck and babydust to you!

My mother just called me and told me she thought of "the perfect" name for a girl. Catrell. I said, "Like Kim?" She said, "Huh?" I said, "Kim Catrell, from Sex & The City." She got all huffy with me and said, "In 30 years, nobody will know that." Gee....apparently, my daughter isn't going to meet anyone until she's 30.

She claims she has another name and has threatened to call me with it. Hello, voice mail! :teeth:

I am so sorry that you mom is doing that to you. Of course it is a little :lmao: .

My SIL's MIL thought of the name Sean for her son. SIL liked it but she didn't want her MIL to think she named the kid that because MIL suggested it. I told her, don't worry about it, let her think that. You will get bonus points with her, and you will know in your heart that you chose it.

Edited to add - here's an idea. Tell her that you love that name. Insist you are going to use it. Then when the baby is born tell your mom that she doesn't look anything like a Catrell, and name it what you want.

Denae

Oh, DH can come up with some doozies once in a while! He wanted to name DD2 L'Oreal - yes, like the haircolor! :lmao: Needless to say, baby-naming is solely my responsiblity, although I do give him veto power.

QOTD (5/12) : I am actually secretly hoping for one of each. Twins kind of run in my family, but so far they have been both boys or both girls, still fraternal. If it's only one, I kind of want a boy first to be the protective older brother I never had, but DH is convinced he will only have girls, even though he wants both, too! I'm more of a girly-girl, so I would be kind of disappointed if we never have a girl.

As far as names, DH is from Mexico, so every once in a while he will throw out Aztec names that I can't even spell or pronounce. I don't mind some Spanish names, because they are the same or similar to English, but I think I want to stay away from names that start with "x".

This is exactly what I AM NOT hoping for, only because one day I told me dh, "Yes, in the rare circumstance that we just happen to have a boy and a girl twins, we can name them Luke and Leia." :lmao: Now that we are trying to get pg, I'm terrified that it'll happen and he'll hold me to my promise!! :rotfl:

FYI for fellow wine lovers: If you are trying to abstain during your 2WW do yourself a favor and avoid the alcohol-free wines. I picked up a bottle at the grocery store tonight and just tried a glass...YUK!!!! Do people actually drink this stuff??!! :scared: Think I'll just stick with water from here on out.

Yeah- I wouldn't even want wine without the alcohol.

Has everyone/anyone given up caffeine while ttc?

Not while TTC, but I do cut way down during pregnancy. My OB told me caffeine is fine during pregnancy but then again he's only looking at it in relation to miscarriage, birth defects, etc. It seems as though it could be possible for a baby to become addicted to caffeine in utero and suffer withdrawals after birth. I know I get awful headaches when I go without caffeine and I'd hate for my baby to suffer in that way. So, while I may have an occasional coke when we go out to dinner, I don't drink it on a daily basis and try to avoid it altogether during my last trimester.

Those names are better than the ones my cousin had picked out - Bert & Ernie! Lucky for his wife the twins were girls! :rotfl2:

My friend's OB (same office as mine) said to drink a glass of water for each serving of coffee/coke, but I don't know about anything else.

:lmao: Bert and Ernie... :lmao:

Ok, I have to agree- Star Wars names would be better than Bert and Ernie. Or Big Bird and Snuffleupagous... :rotfl2:

QOTD: You know just for a strange reason (since I plan for two kids if possible) I would prefer that the oldest be a girl. Partially because I have better ideas on names for a girl. We have a not so common Puerto Rican last name that I just am having a hard time with when it comes to boys' names.
But truthfully it doesn't really matter. If I got lucky I'd have one of each as twins and be done with it ;) Mostly I just really hope for a healthy baby. I've seen lots of people spend months at the hospital hoping and praying all will be okay.

As for caffeine, I cut way back on it a long time ago. I might have caffeine once a week at most now. Sometimes on a rare one, maybe twice. I prefer drinking water at all times, so I figure if I get pregnant, I won't have to change that part at all.

QOTD: I didn't read it up get the jist I think. In a perfect world I would like a boy first to protect his little sister, but when I think about our first baby, I'd love a baby girl. Then I decide I would like a boy first, so either way it will be fine.

I have cut back on caffine a while ago. I'll have a cup every few days, either tea or a soda. Have never done coffee anyway!

I feel like my chart is gettting better this month...check it out. Trying not to get excited!

SOme of you are posting beta #'s What are those. I have had beta tests and my progesterine levels but didn't know a #. On Sunday I go in for another ultrasound to see if the clomid is doing its job. Maybe this will be the month. I had called a local astrologer on the phone free of course and she saw me with two girls. We have one Diana. I think if I do have a girl it would be Judith Bernadette after my mom and my monster in law. DH is partial to Robert as first name for a boy but I hate it. He wants to name it after his stepfather who basically raised him. I wouldn't mind it for a middle name but feel that his parents don't really contribute to our life. I like Jude as a first name after my Mom.

Still no temp spike for me... I wake up every morning all excited: "Will it be today?" And then, no- 96.8 again.

Oh well. I'm only on cd 12, but since I have no idea when/if I'll O, i'm terribly anxious for it!!

I just found this thread tonight. And thank you for starting it.

Hi eveyone! My DH (29) and I (31) have been TTC literally since 6 weeks after our DD (3) was born. After two years of no results, last spring we finally got PG, but we lost our little one within a week. Just a few months after this I was having no cycles at all, and I finally got in to see a RE. HE'S GREAT! Right away, he knew what was going on, and he got me on Metformin, and by October I was ovulating. So my DH and I have been trying ever since. ;) My OB/GYN thinks I'll be PG by the end of the summer. That's what we're praying for.

OMG!!!!!!!
Since I started my period after going off B.C. It is killing me.
It is soooo heavy and the cramps are terrible!!!!!!!!!!
Is this the was periods normally start back after going off the pill?

I can't wait for this to calm down!
