Any other discounts out there now other than dining?

I am interested in deluxe accom, any discounts? I read about someone having 40% off, is that something that is offered now? The best rate I got for the Poly was $340 per night. What rates should I consider good? TIA!

I came here looking for the same thing. We were considering booking with free dining, & upgrading to Deluxe. Then, my DH decided he wants to stay at CR. So, I'm thinking a room discount will be cheaper, if I can find one. Hopefully, we'll both get lucky & find a good code.

The 40% discount you heard about is a pin code. They get mailed out to people at random, so there is no guarantee that you would get one, or if you do it may not be for the dates that you want. To increase your chances of getting one I would sign up for every free thing Disney gives out, maps, DVD, register on their site, etc. We have gotten them the past two years but were never able to use them because they are not for our dates. Are you a AAA member? The discount is generally not large but will be better than rack rates. You can call AAA and find out what the discount is and then sign up if it's worth it for you.

The 40 % off was a person specific random pincode mailer. It expired on 3/31 anyway.

Thanks to both of you for the info. I didn't even know there was a 40% off code earlier. We just decided to book a fall trip, when free dining was announced, so I hadn't been looking for codes. Hopefully, they'll have another room only promo soon.

Try giving them a call. I got an amazing rate of 199 a night for July 20-30.
They are extremely nice and helpful.

Do you happen to remember when the GP room only discount for the Poly became available last year? Right now I'm booked for the CR with free dining in mid-September, but I would happily give up the dining to be able to switch to the Poly at a good rate! I guess I'll be keeping a close eye on the codes and rates board for any general discount codes on deluxe resorts for our dates!

I came looking for a thread about the 35% off discount I found on the Disney webpage. It says it's for dates between 4/12/09 and 6/6/09. Am I missing some key piece of info here ? I thought there would be lots of people talking about it. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. But after I couldn't get time off for free dining I thought this might be a good alternative.

I don't know exactly when, but he made the reservation mid Sept. 2008. Also, Mousavers.com lists historical info for offers/discounts.

I am not understanding this website. LOL Okay you go on there and what did you click on to get those rates. It seems it brings up other travel agencies. We are staying at POLY on July 21st for 2 nights in a Garden View. I got the current military disc. of 40% off. So our rate is 201 a night. We have friends that are looking for one night in July and can't use the military rate. What link did you click on? Thanks
