I may be all "desserted" out by the end of our trip, but our last ADR is at O'Hana and I don't care for bread pudding so does anyone know if there are any other desserts available? I know you can request alternate food for the kiddos...

We do not do bread pudding either.

We have a birthday and anniversary celebration going on the week we will be in WDW.
It's not the day of our 'Ohana dinner - but we thought we could order a 6" cake for our anniversary anyway - anything would be better than bread pudding. We would even take a defrosted Sara Lee cake :rotfl:

'Ohana phone # 407-824-2165

Order 2 weeks in advance (at least that is what we are planning to do)

According to everything I've read recently, no - there are no other desserts at 'Ohana. But the bread pudding is supposed to be heavenly!

Any pictures of the banana bread pudding ?
What is in it .. banana's, bread and what ?

Make another ADR for Kona Cafe for dessert for a time after Ohana...its right next door:

All Desserts $5.99
Chocolate Macadamia Nut Tart
Apple Brown Betty
Caramel-Banana Creme Brulee
White Chocolate Cheesecake
Kiddie Kone
Kilauea Torte
Passion Fruit Orange Guava Mousse

We are on the DDP so I don't think this would work. It isn't a huge deal as this is our last meal and I think I will have had enough desserts already to make my clothes too tight :rolleyes1 . Thanks for the info guys!

You do also get excellent vanilla ice cream with the banana bread pudding and then there is the caramel sauce with just a few small banana bits in it.

When we went in Nov. 04 we had pineapple with a caramel dipping sauce - no bread pudding. It was really good. I wanted to pick up the bowl of sauce and drink it, but then I thought better of it - I used my spoon instead!! :thumbsup2

We ate there last week and we all had vanilla ice cream instead of the bread pudding. After all the food no one really wanted anything else to eat anyway.

The bread pudding was possibly the best dessert we had during our whole trip!! It's not so much a bread pudding as a warm, gooey banana caramel ice-creamy mouthful of joy! :)

We were there last Nov and Ohana by far was the best meal we had and the bread pudding was the best dessert of the whole trip. It does not even begin to resemble most bread puddings in flavor. It was fabulous and we decided next time we go to WDW, Ohana is the only definite ADR we will make. I don't remember seeing any other desserts and I didnt' hear anyone ask for one. We were there on a Sunday evening (Nov 6) and the place was hopping. The pineapple with caramel (and the rice) is long gone with the changes to the menu made last year. Overall the meal was very very good and we had plenty to eat. Like most WDW restaurants, it can't hurt to ask. We went to the luau that week also and my DH doesn't eat chocolate so when they brought my volcano, he got a vanilla one instead which we got by just asking, as did a couple of people near us.

Last time we went I couldn't eat the bread pudding (but I really wanted to, DH said it was GREAT!) My DD is allergic to eggs and milk as her mommy food source I couldn't eat it either. They gave me some soy milk ice cream. It actually was pretty yummy, they put fresh furit on it too. By the end of trip I was so sick of soy ice cream. It was the ONLY non dairy dessert in all of WDW. ONLY ONE I could find ANYWHERE. They offered it at every place. Still it was nice not to be left out. :goodvibes

I would give the bread pudding a try. Think of poor people like me who can't and enjoy it! :teeth:

the menus on the disboards shows other desserts. I have not been there myself only reporting on what the menu on this site shows.

I went and checked and it does show the dessert as separate with several choices as of 11/30/05. It appears that they changed the menu. Dessert used to be included in the dinner price, but according to the menu posted, dessert is extra now. Anyone been there recently (since Dec) to confirm this?

My friend just got back. She said they had a great meal there and had the kids sundae for dessert and it was great! (they were on the "plan".) I can't imagine them not having the bread pudding (or some dessert option) on a all you can eat plan. There isn't ANY other that desserts are extra are there?

I like the dining plan, but it seems to be that it is going to drive up prices for anyone who wants to eat with out it. :guilty:

The dessert that was included was Pineapple & Carmel Sauce & now the included dessert is the bread pudding. the extra desserts you have always had to pay for.

I'll be honest with you: I don't do bread pudding either. HOWEVER, the Pineapple Bread Pudding with Bananas Foster Sauce and Vanilla ice cream is FABULOUS!!! It is REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! I snagged the rest of what was in the bowl before anyone else could get to it, and I could have drank the rest of that sauce....MMMMM!!!!

Give it a try (since it comes with the meal anyway!)...It's worth a taste!! (or more!)
