other than the AAA that are available for US??? I am going in January, I am not a member and this trip does not validate becoming one. I know about Discover but that offer expires in Dec 2001. Any ideas??? Thanks for your help!

Do you have a friend that is a AAA member? My friend at work used her AAA card to get me my tickets. We asked if she had to be with me for me to use the tickets and the girl said "It doesn't matter. You could buy anyone the tickets." they even let her charge them to my credit card (with a faxed letter from me approving the charge). Hope this helps.

I bought my tickets for my October trip from AAA. I was told by AAA that one member of the party ( the AAA card holder) would have to show photo ID at the gate.

I think that the $35 that I paid for my AAA membership, was far less than the amount I saved on US/IOA and Sea World tickets for my family of 5. Not to mention, the 10% off on all food/merchandise purchased at US/IOA.

Oh, I am also getting a $50 discount on the one night at the Dolphin that the teacher rate was not available.

I just called the main AAA office and asked if my friend had to be with us and she (Cindy) told me no. She did say that we would have to sign the back of our ticket on the first day and present a photo ID each day after to prove it was us. Of course still being nervous, I called US information and was told the same thing by Rosemarie - that AAA members can buy them for whoever they would like. She said you just have to have a AAA card to BUY the tickets, not to USE the tickets. Wish me luck!!!!!!

The Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin offer special discounted room rates for teachers, nurses, and government employees. This year it is $99/night. I believe that someone else posted a quote of $125/night for 2002. Considering that the standard room rate for the Swan and Dolphin is upward of $250/night this is a great deal. You have to show a paystub, or ID badge, or a letter from your employer on official letter head at the time of check-in.
