Any other Canadians (still) having MDE Issues?

So frustrating ... Went through getting my Dvc account linked to my "regular" disney account (even though both already had same username email and password) and now when I log into disneyworld.com and check on my profile, there is NO info ... Not even my name! It also won't let me upgrade my profile. It seems like my computer is still getting the old Disney site.

Tried logging in to MDE app on my ipad and iphone today ... Worked fine, my profile even had my name, email and cell number ... However no address and when I tried to input it, it told me it was incorrect! So weird.

I've tried calling DVC IT, but apparently they can't help as the issue is not with dvcmember.com ... Nor can they transfer me to the general disney website support people. They did give me a number I could call, and pay long distance charges on, but I'm leaving that as a last resort. I tried the contact email feature last week, but haven't heard anything back.

I might just need to break down and call since my 180 days is approaching quickly and I want to be able to book some ADRs ... Though it might just be safer to do those over the phone.

Ok, vent over. At least my DVC account seems fine. If anyone has any helpful suggestions, please share them!

We can't even log into our DVC account now. We have made one phone call so far and not fixed yet.

Yes any computer I have tried I get the old disney site, not the one with the "My Disney Experience" tab. It definitely sounds like Canadian IP addressess are not able to access the new site, which to me is ridiculous.

Others have recommended downloading a program called "Tunnelbear" which apparently fools your computer into thinking you have a U.S. based IP address and then you can get the new site.

I have not done this as I don't like adding on programs to my computer and I'm sticking to my guns that Disney IT should get its act together and make it work for us without these stupid work arounds :rotfl2:

I do have the My Disney Experience app on my iphone which seems to work but I haven't tried out too much with it.

very strange all my DVC reservations are linked and I see my dining reservations -- I am in Canada...

now in saying that the new website has been a major pain in the you know what since it was implemented!

I'm with you on not installing work around software ... Especially to gain access to a website that hosts all kind of personal info (financial or otherwise). I really do hope Disney IT fixes these issues soon. Just noticed my MDE app has an update available ... Off to check that out.

I emailed Disney tech support yesterday about not being able to access the site in Canada, here was the response:

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Regrettably, the transition is taking longer than we anticipated. We appreciate your continued patience as we work to bring you more exciting tools and options than ever before.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

The MDE app update didn't help my issue either ... And so it continues.

Did you have a tech support email address or did you just use the online form? If you have an actual email, would you mind sharing it with me? Thanks.

I just emailed them through the disneyworld website online form under "contact us".

I'm frustrated with the whole thing. Both the website and the app will keep me logged in, but keeps dropping my reservation. The website lists all guests; the app does not.

Is the website supposed to have a "my disney experience" tab? If so, I'm not getting that.

Apparently those of us in Canada can only get the MDE tab on the website if we install third party software that tricks the Disney World site into thinking we have a US IP computer address. I'm not prepared to go that route.

At this point all I really want is for the "old" site (that i can access and login to from my home computer) and the MDE app for Apple devices to accept/keep my profile info ... the Canadian address seems to be the issue with the app while everything, including my name, seems to be an issue on the website.

while i'm not happy you're all experiencing this too, i'm happy to know i'm not the only one! i was starting to think i was doing something wrong, especially with the app which really seems to be giving me issues :rolleyes2

We eventually had to go the "IP spoof" route to to do our online check-in. Very frustrating that Disney can't seem to make their website work for non-US visitors, and quite frankly unacceptable in this day and age for a company with their resources!

I just went to the Wdw website on my iPad, and I'm getting the new website with MDE.

I had issues yesterday...but today everything is fine.....maybe they fixed ir. Have logged in on both computer and phone

Well, since others seemed to have luck today, I tried again ... with limited success.

MDE app on my iPad let me input my address and accepted it! Whoo hoo ... Hopefully it sticks.

Still no MDE tab on the website using Safari on my iPad ... and still no profile info when I log into the "old" Disney site.

Tried linking from my dvcmember.com account to the dining reservations part, but while it seemed to recognize me, "Hi Name" on the top left, I wasn't really logged in - had to input username and password.

One step forward, two steps back.

MDE has the wrong flight info for the DME but our paperwork came and everything was correct, no idea how to fix things on the new site.

So after not getting any replies to my "contact us" form submission, I decided to call tech support today.

The IT CM was able to see all of my info (had me verify it) and sent me a validation email. All seemed well since when I logged back into disneyworld.com and checked my profile all of my personal info had magically reappeared. I did have to re-input my vacation preferences and trip history, but it let me do that without issue.

I asked the IT CM about my ongoing inability to access www.mydisneyexperience.com and she indicated that they were hoping to have access for us by this summer and that I should keep checking back over the next few months.

When I asked whether I should book dining reservations under the old site vs calling, she indicated that it would be a safer bet to call them in - which I was leaning towards anyhow.

Unfortunately, I have just tried to access www.dvcmember.com - and am getting the link account message again. Also, when I tried to log into the MDE app, most of my profile info is missing again. So I guess I'm really no further ahead than before and need to make a call to DVC Member Services again tomorrow. (I thinking this might be an never ending cycle ... but at this point I'll stick with having my DVC access and deal with MDE app and website if Disney IT ever gets it sorted out.)
