Anyone stayed here recently? What are the facilities like?

I've also noticed that they allow pets. Did anyone notice pets while there?

I stayed there for one night in July. I really like the hotel. I was on the ground floor with a fantastic view of the Hulk and Dr Doom.

There was a big pool with a play ship and a sandy beach area. There was also a volley ball court. I didn't use it but it all looked lovely. There was about 3 restaurants as well. If you do stay there remember to sign up for the Loews card and give them your no. when you book as they give you a free gift. We got 4 bottles of beer and two huge bowls of mixed nuts. You also get a seperate check in.

I can't say I remember any pets at all.

We have stayed there twice, most recently a couple of weeks ago. It is really lovely and they have a scrummy breakfast buffet. I would definitely recommend it.

Just a wonderful resort, and it has been available at some very good rates this year. If they continue in 2004, snap it up! The restaurants are first class, the style wonderfully classy and the on-site convenience is well worth having.

Don't think you can go far wrong with any of the Universal Hotels. Just from walking through the grounds I prefered the ambiance of the Portifino, but it's a personal choice as to style and if the RPR was offering the best rates I'd be more than happy to snap up a room.

Tchop Tchop was a wonderful restaurant and well worth the $$$$ it cost IMHO.
