I made ADR for Tonys town square before MMNSSHP, anyone eat there and how is the food? TIA :earsgirl:

We ate there a few years back and thought the food was good, but not outstanding. I would definitely try it out as it was a pleasant experience for us, and maybe the food has improved.

I have been to Disney many many many times since I was 17 1/2 and for the life of me can't put TTS in my mind as to where it is let alone what the food is like. Thanks CarolAnn, the menu looks good, it can't be that bad. LOL

Truly, utterly mediocre (and I don't mean that in a bad way).

we ate there 2 years ago. Atmosphere was nice, service was good, food was nothing great, but my kids love Italian whether it's great or not.

After trying it twice, we've crossed Tony's off our list. DH specifically asked that we not go back there, and he's usually really laid back about where we eat, letting me make the plans and just going with the flow.

The restaurant itself is nicely themed - it's toward the beginning of Main Street on the right as you enter the MK, past the Exposition Hall.

We thought the food was so-so, nothing really bad, but not very good either. And it was pretty expensive for mediocre food. Plus the service was bad (slow and inattentive) both times we went.

I think you should give it a try since you've never been. Everyone has different experiences, and you may really love it. But don't go expecting really good food, because I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.

The only meals I've ever eaten here are the breakfast's, which that do not have anymore. To bad because I loved having breakfast out on the patio watching the magic begin.

It get poor reviews sometimes. So I've avoided this restaurant.

Inside the restuarant is a bronze statue of Lady and the Tramp.

We ate there last week for dinner. I had the calamari appetizer and the ceasar salad for my main course. I thought both were very good. My DH had the spagetti and meatballs and did not really care for it. We have Ragu sauce at home and he did not like the sauce there. We have eaten there a few times before. Overall the food is okay, nothing spectacular about it. The waiter was very good and the atmosphere was nice.

::MickeyMo DBF and I go to Tony's every time. We really like the atmosphere, service, and food. It has always been excellent for us-especially the pesto dip with the bread! Yum! ::MinnieMo

We ate there before MNNSHP on October 6. It was sprinkling when we arrived so the waiting area was full of soggy people. Didn't take long to get seated and our waiter was very efficient. Professional, informative... was happy to suggest the calamari appetizer when I asked his appetizer choices. It was good. My kids had the bread and we all had the salmon for dinner. We liked it. I was in a mood for spaghetti and meatballs, but I always seem to order the fish. There was a trio sampler of desserts for us to share, which was just the right amount with an evening of trick-or-treating ahead. By the way, the cannoli at Tony's was better than the cannoli at the Italy kiosk in Epcot. Our waiter was prompt with drink refills and as a coffee drinker, I require more refills than most. We were anxious to get into the swing of the party and he was quick with the bill. I gave him an extra tip.

A side note: We picked Tony's because my older DD is vegetarian and the choices at LTT were slim for her. While I might not choose to eat there if I had my choice of any restaurant in WDW, it really worked out well before MNNSHP. I was glad we did it.

pirate: We ate at Tony's Friday night. The food was really good. I've read a lot of bad reviews, but we wanted to try it ourselves. And I'm glad we did. My DW is a picky eater, and she said that her pasta was really good. We will return, and I do recommend trying it.

Thanks everyone. I am even more excited about eating the before MMNSSHP, I called today and got 5:30 instead of 4:30.........that gives us 1 1/2 hrs before the party begins. :maleficen :scared1: :maleficen :scared1:

Had lunch there was OK. :Pinkbounc

Ok is allright by me, I hate 2 places and would never go back, 50s prime time and Cape May buffet....nothing can be as bad as them

We had lunch there in May. We were apprehensive because of the reviews on the DIS. Service was probably the best of the trip, and the food was pretty good that day. I think we must either have low standards or just lucked out! ;)
