Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Hi,

I've been thinking, ( that must be why my brain hurts :scratchin:)

Flo, you gave me the idea after posting your photo of you and your family.

I dont really have many photos of me, but here is one that was taken last year @ WL,
PICT0013.jpg

I have had my hair cut since then, and I might have gained the odd pound

This is Dave, I bet you can guess where this one was taken ;)

I thought I'd post these, incase we are standing next to each other at the port.

( You could always print them out and use them as a dart board :lmao: )

We dont often get photos of us together, perhaps this cruise we might!

;) Helen, :wizard: for Ben this weekend.

Also, thanks for posting the pictures. Very nice. :sunny:

WOW! You guys have no idea how much your prayers and PD meant today!

Abby shot seven shots better...a 93. Alec shot 5 strokes better with a 97. Iain was one stroke higher with an 85. Me??? Well, I was actually called a "f"word fat "a"word. There were several other vulgarities and tensions! It was awful!!! After the father from the group behind us got done with me, one of our dads from South Africa went back to defend my honor and our kids...and what ensued was truly unbelievable. The group behind us had been hitting within three to four feet of us six or seven times. Finally after they actually hit us without yelling fore, I had gone back and asked them to please yell fore in the future. It was awful! Well, the other dad went back and the next thing you know both men are on the ground, clubs and all! The kids were wrecks...Iain and I are still wrecks. It was not a good day. I do think the prayers and PD kept me from reacting to the comments. I handled it fairly well.

Thanks guys!

Oh my Tif,

You really had a day today :sad2: I'm glad that your kids did well. It is amazing how rude some people are now days. I'm glad that you and the kids are alright. Will definitely keep sending :wizard: and :grouphug: your way.

Jen

Tif,
Oh My! That is terrible. :guilty: To adults to be on the ground at a golf course( or any were for that fact) is not good. It should be common courtesy on a golf course to say four. On the good side I am excited for the kids they did a great job. Her is more :wizard: pixiedust:

Helen, I cannot wait to see tomorrows counter. It begins with a 2. But I do like today’s. party: :boat: :rockband:

Have a great day everyone!!

Tif -- I'm so glad the kids played well! That is BEYOND ridiculous what happened with the group behind you. Our CC would never allow that and would revoke memberships over something stupid like that. I hope the tournament directors will think twice before letting those people play again. This is golf, and while it's a wonderful sport and has educational value, it is a game. (Don't tell my Dad I said that!) Setting good values for our children and showing how to get along with everyone is much more important and crucial to our society. Okay, off my soap box.....

I finally found you!! My family is going on this cruise. My DH, me and my two DS. We are looking to meet lots of people. I have been on three cruises when I was little but everyone else are first timers. We love Disney and worked at Disneyland for years.
We are going to WDW for the week before.
Please reply so we can meet!!

Hi Goofylover,

Just wanted to add my :welcome:

Please feel free to come a long to our meet 3pm Promenade lounge, the day we board! The more the merrier in my opinion.

Tif, just wanted to send you some more pixiedust: I hope today has been a more pleasant day. I am thinking of you ;)

Flo - RE countdown, I am trying to make each one different , but can't wait to do tomorrows as it will in the 2o's   ( You cant believe the amount of thought that I put into them @ 7am in the morning :rotfl: )

Disney amnesty 2 weeks down, 2 weeks to go !!! :cheer2:

Just wanted to ask if you will spare a thought for Dave, over the last few weeks he has hardly been at home as he is travelling round the country, :car: trying to get things done before we go on holiday !:beach:!! Thats the downside to having your own business. Even when we are away he has the phone. Well today he is in Wales and he's just called to say that someone has tried to steal his car. :furious: They didn't get it ( think they were disturbed) but they've made a right mess of it. It will delay him getting back so we wont be able to go away for the weekend in the motorhome. Think we will have to travel to the competition and back for the day.

Oh well take care
Helen xx

Glad to meet you!
Sounds like you are from the UK.
My son is leaving on Sunday for a Harry Potter fan club trip with
his grandma to London and Scotland. He's very excited. He's having quite a summer with his cruise as well.
His grandma is not feeling well but hopefully she will get through the trip okay. I probably won't sleep a wink while they are gone but I will just hang out here on the Disboards to keep myself busy.
How's the weather there?
Thanks for including us. We will hopefully see you on the Promenade!

Goofylover, :welcome: glad you could join us. ;) I added your name to the first post. :teeth: In-between the time of the DIS meet is the screen names of every one going. Under it is the names of everyone going. :dance3: If you want me to put your name there just post and next time I am on I will post it there. :)

This is going to be a fun time for all! :woohoo:

Yes! Thanks for adding us. Please add our names as well.

Can't wait to meet. I saw something somewhere about green wrist bands. Are we doing that or will we just have that Disboard "look" (our backs will be hunched over from sitting at the computer or our fingers will be cramped).

Valerie, Marci ordered the bands. You could PM her and see if she has any left. :sunny:

Done you have been added to both. I know what you mean about the backs. The closer it gets to the cruise I want to be on here almost 24/7. :sunny:

;) Evening everyone! This is posted on the regular cruise thread but I thought I would post it here. I have them for previous cruise. It addes a little personal attention. If you look on the regular thread it is call cast member cards. :thumbsup2

Hi, goofylover. I did order some extra bands and will be glad to give you some for your family. Welcome to our group!

Hi Goofy Lover! Welcome! :goodvibes Glad you found the DIS! I have been lurking a little on the cruisecritic board, too, but no posting. I did get some good ideas with excursions and ports from the site.

Wow - a lot has happened since I last checked the thread!

Tif - I cannot imagine your stress with your family present in a situation like that - and a tournament, none the less! Sounds like those troublemakers were the kind that only worry about themselves and no one else matters! :sad2:

Helen, sorry to hear about Dave's car! Sounds like he will really be ready for a Holiday!!

My family will be ready, too. The girls are on swim team & tonight was their last regular season meet, but they both made the District meet. They will now be swimming another 2 weeks, and will get to swim at the Georgia Tech pool here in Atlanta. It was where the Olympic swimming was held in 1996 so they are pretty excited!

DD (12) is leaving for SanFrancisco with DGrandParents the following week, and will return the day before we leave for the cruise!
It's almost here!!! :bounce:
