;) Hi! I agree with you. :goodvibes I can hardly stand it either. :hourglass

The kids are still in school by you? By Seniors I would think you are talking High School. Ares here graduated the last week of May. Then are Elementary and the rest of high school got out at the end of last week.

Just think in a couple of weeks we will be able to put faces with are screen names. :cheer2:

My kids got out last week - but I teach at a HS and they are driving me insane  - any they still have 10 days to go! (well so do I ...) I feel like the little engine that could " I think I can, I think I can"....

Thatnks for the meeting reminder!

Hang in there! Not much longer...

Helen...how did Dave end up doing??? Did he get his rescue certification?

We are planning on doing Palo on Saturday night. We tend to like it on Saturdays, unless we have Animator's Palate. It is really nice, as it tends to be a lot of cast members up there on Saturday nights.

I bought an Italien teaching CD that I have been listening to in the car. It is my goal that by our cruise I will be able to practice a couple of sentences with hopefully Marco up in Palo! I am getting prepped for next summer!!!!

Helen mentioned on a different thread our potential of watching the new Pirates on board. I am hoping that they will do it on the Dumbotron after the Pirate party!!!!! How cool would that be!!! pirate: We got to see National Treasure right when it came out on board. There is something so extra special about watching it while sailing in the middle of nowhere!

Who else is going to participate in Chip-It Golf???? What envelopes do you make for the tips???? Sounds like a nice idea.

Well, I need to go. Another crazy day tomorrow.
Tif

Hi all,

Tif, Dave made it back from under the water. He said it was really difficult, he needs to practice more, which is fine as it wasn't his actual exam.

Its funny you mentioned about your Italian CD. I have bought one along with a spanish. Also I started my Spanish lessons last week. I had lesson No2 yesterday and IM really enjoying it.

I figured 2006 I'll learn spanish, 2007 Italian then I'll be ready for the Med ( I already know a bit of french! :thumbsup2

We have Palo booked Monday 11:30 for Brunch & Thursday 7pm for dinner ( Im with you Flo for the Lobster :cloud9: )

I dont drink tea, in fact I cant stand it so didn't think I should do high tea ;)

Can I ask what is Chip it golf?

Well Im really hungry so im off to get some food.

Take care xx :wave2:

BUMP!! :Pinkbounc

We finally received a room assignment for our guaranteed cabin. Now we are realy starting to get excited!!

Was reading your posts about schools, and find it interesting how every school system is unique.
We live just north of Atlanta, GA, and the kids have been out of school since late May. The cruise is our "end of the summer" fun. My DDs go back to school 2 days after our cruise returns home. Summer is just too short - not like when I was a kid and we were home until after Labor Day!

ps - I'd like to know about "chip it golf" too. Don't remember that on the Wonder last year?:confused3:

Okay...Chip It Golf! It is the thing they do in the Atrium, usually on sea days...but have seen them do it when in port occassionally. They roll out this "green" rug. It has a few sand traps on it, some water, and then targets with points associated with it. Well, you want to get the HIGHEST score...not the lowest. The balls you hit are wiffle golf balls with velcro on it so that it sticks to the mat. It gets pretty funny...you get some really little guys with absolutely no golf skill that nail it and win...or a grandma or two who show that Tuesday morning golf league is skill and fun! We have seen the big fifteen get hit and then the guy right after go up and nail it too! That is EXTREMELY rare! People were going nuts!!! :rotfl2: Then we have seen people take out the the auctioneers that were setting up! :scared1:

It is just a silly way to have a whole bunch of fun during the day. You cheer and you laugh and you simply have a great time!

You guys...we are getting sooooo very close!!!!! We will be sailing away from the trials and tribulations of real life! WOOHOO!!! :cool1: YAY!

Well another day down.

45 days to go !!!

Thanks Tif for explaining about Chip it golf - now I know why your jids have been practicing ;)

Goto go to school

Have Fun
xx

Hi All,

Finally done with all the activities of the past weekend. Our nephews grad party was wonderufl..must of had appx. 200 people at our house. He looked so happy....so I kept remembering that when it was time to clean up...which took us 2 days :sunny:

Then our boys did very well in the baseball tournament this weekend. So with the baseball and the party we were running around a bit crazy :bitelip:

Yesterday i took the kids to pick up more things for the trip...finally got the over the door shoe bag, some fanny packs for the boys for the parks. The kids were a bit much at the mall.

I am soooooo looking forward to the cruise!!!!!!!! We leave in 39 days since we are going to WDW first!!!!!!

 Helen, Best of luck. :thumbsup2 without talking about Disney :sunny: .

HI!!!

I like the 45 days too!!! Helen...you are going to do great! I just know it!

Jen...congrats on a successful weekend! It had to feel good knowing you were such a big part of your nephew's life! Congrats on the baseball as well!

Our golf tournaments were so so. Big one for the boys this weekend. Iain's last year to play in it as he ages out as of next summer. Good in a way as it puts him in a better arena anyway. Alec will be in this one this year and next. Abby just has basketball tomorrow now, and then two tournaments next week. Our big week is just before we head down to Florida...a three day tournament, with Abby having 36 holes in two different tourneys on the first day...then they play Tuesday Wednesday with a third tourney for Abby on Thursday. Then we breath! She got a call today to play in an international invitational...while we are cruising. She passed on the tourney! She also got invited to play with the high school varsity basketball team tonight in a big rivalry game. She had to work with the Special Olympic kids that she committed to. I thought she would be bummed, but she was really excited to work with the kids again. She said they are so remarkable and inspiring! Nice to see lessons actually working in our children's lives.

Hey Flo, is your son playing summer ball??? OH...now that the regular season of our shows is over, have you caught The Closer with Kyra Sedgewick??? Really good show. I am also a Monk fan, so looking forward to that! Well...again...I have typed too long!

See you all soon....REALLY!!!

Love ya!

;) HI All! Just a few more weeks. It seams like yesterday that are curse was almost 2 years away. I am glad it is almost here. :sunny:

No, Tif my son is not playing baseball during the summer. We do not have any leagues around are house that play hard ball (regular baseball) during the summer. It is all softball. I miss it so much I with he was. I also do not know if he would have the time. He is taking a summer class at school and drives to Milwaukee 2 days a week and works the rest at AMC. He is quite busy. But he is young he can handle it. :goodvibes

You are quite busy with the kids. That is really sweet of Abby to work with the kids. For her to stay with them and not go to play with the high school that has got to make you proud of her. It shows that just when we thing we are not getting through to the kids they throw a wrench in and surprise us. Good luck in all your tournaments coming up. At least you will have the cruise to rest. When do you leave for Florida? :)

Jen, are the boys done with baseball? Know any one going to Little League World Series this year? How did they like the fanny packs? I take one with me all the time, so does the rest of my family. Actually once baseball starts for me and until summer is over that is all I use. I am not a purse person.
:teeth:
Helen, you are to funny. 44 days!! :thumbsup2 How is it going so far without talking about Disney? I know it just started but I don’t even thing I could last a day. You could post the numbers every day. I love seeing them go down. :dance3:

Well I better go, I have to get ready for work. Be back on later. :wave2:

flo

First few minutes I have been in the house much less sitting down. I put about 150 miles on the Suburban today just running kids here and there! It is so nice to know that I can run in and sit down, lift the top of my lap top and find you all here!!!!!

Has everyone been wishing Helen Pixie Dust????? pixiedust: The good news is that it is shorter than Lent!

So, who has seen Cars??? popcorn:: Abby got to go. Taking the boys on Monday afternoon. My folks LOVED it! :cheer2:

So...who in this awesome group is dressing up for Pirate Night???? pirate: All I can do is anticipate the movie!!!! Wouldn't it be awesome if they had REAL movie popcorn on nights that they showed the movies????

Will anybody join us for at least one of the auctions??? We had fun the last couple of times...oh, and we learned something in the process!!!!

Talk with y'all later! :wave2: Remember Helen...we are all here for you!!!!
tif

Hey Flo,

The boys got to pick out their own fanny packs and actually like the idea of carrying their own stuff. Usually DH or I are stuck carrying everything in a backpack and it gets kind of heavy.....then of course you can't find anything.

At least we still have stroller for DD so that helps with all the stuff. Those Disney pins sure do get heavy after a while :teeth: The boys really enjoy pin trading. I can't wait for the day when all I need for the parks is a fanny pack!

Don't know anyone going to the Little League World Series this year. We are busy with summer ball and a tournament team. The boys are also taking piano lessons and all 3 kids will take swimming lessons starting next week. When you live on an Island it is important to know how to swim :sunny: They actually all swim okay but we want them to be strong swimmers.

Tif: I thought I had a busy life...with all your kids functions you sure put in some miles! My parents are really into golf and want the boys to learn also but DH doesn't want the golf to mess up their baseball swings :confused3

We just took the kids to Cars last night. It was a good movie but I have to say that I thought the other Pixar films were better. We are really looking forward to Pirates in July pirate: I'm still trying to convince my gang to wear our good pirate costumes and not just our pirates t-shirts.

I've slowly begun to place cruise outfits together so I'm not going crazy last minute trying to pack.

Aloha,
Jen

;) Helen, How is it going? Are you able to stand not talking Disney? We are all rooting for you. :wizard:
