:welcome: To the cruise. If you look at the first thread on this post I have added you name to the list. ;) Also, congrats on the recent marrage. :rockband: See you soon. :boat:

Korea Ears - Congratulations on your marriage! Will you be coming to the US for a trip (besides the cruise?)
wltdsnyfan - Thanks - I'll try that next time I post the photos. When I originally posted them they took up the whole page (in the preview section) then when I posted and logged back in they were much smaller in size. Pixiedust I guess! :rotfl2: - But I was worried about the size so now I know I just have to watch my signature line.
I'm a huge CSI, Cold Case, and Amazing Race Fan - I've watched some NCIS - but realized I would be hooked and have put it on my netflix list to watch over the summer.
Puppysitting huh? Its enough to drive you  - But they are darn cute aren't they?

DD is home sick today - so I ordered shirts for the trip. I found them on the disney website. They weren't as customizeable as claimed - but still cute. You can pick your type font & color. I ordered lime green shirts for all of us (Dis color of course!) - You can pick any characters (Vintage, sketchbook, cutie, classic, extreme, villians, etc.) We had four pages just of Lilo & Stitch designs. Then you can add a name, a phrase (but only one of their predone ones - nothing original) and a four digit number - so I added 0729 to the back! hopefully they will turn out cute. Well, my dog is going psycho now and I hear dd up. Have a good day everyone.

Okay, guys. I'm beginning to try to get organized for this trip. For anyone interested, I've posted a thread on the DCL Forum asking for ideas for cruise meets/exchanges etc. I've gotten some interesting feedback.

If I ordered them, would anyone be interested in wearing the lime green silicone bands? It would be an unobtrusive way to know when a fellow DIS member is around.

Also, is anyone interested in magnet/postcard exchanges? If so, let me know.

I'm open for any other ideas anyone has!

Paradise Beach question

I've been reading in trip reports how much Paradise Beach was damaged by the hurricanes last year. People were complaining about rocks/major erosion of beach. What have you guys been hearing about Paradise Beach?

Marci - Yes on the bands. Oriental Tading CO? I was also thinking of ordering the pirates of the caribbean silcone bands to give away on pirate night. I'm not sure though because I don't want people thinking whose that strange woman giving my kid this thing and having them all end up in the trash (or taking them all home iwth me b/c I'm too chicken to hand them out).

;) Hey I bought things for pirate pirate: night from Oriental trading to. I have extras of all so I am going to bring and share with DIS family. :)

Marci:Yes, I would wear the lime green braclet.

I was also looking at a web site(don't know if I saw on that thread) to order pens. I was getting ready to order but I could not decide on what to put on them yet, so I have to think about it. I thought that would be a good so that everytime we used them it would remind us of are trip. :sunny:

njmom23grls: On photo buck you can shrink them to different sizes. I have tried a few. Just so you know once you shrik it you can not go back to original size. You would have to put another one of the same picture up. I do that and number them so I know withc ones they are.

Ok... Now I'm getting excited, I'm watching all the time until the cruise tickers and getting nervious....

But it's falling together. I've made my final payment and got tickets to universal studios for when we return to land. By the way the universal has a great ticket offer. Buy an adult 2 day pass and you get 3 days free plus a free kids pass for the same 5 days. So for about $300.00 the 4 of us can go for 5 days!

I've reserve Capt'n marvins stringray adventure for grand cayman, anyone been on this trip?? or better yet anyone going?? Heard it's better than the disney offer for the same excursion to stringray city and snorkeling.

Gotta go...

All the ideas sound good. My kids really enjoy getting and wearing the bands. I think thats a cool idea!

Is there a sail away party? I was thinking about bringing shell leis for our group and to be planned meet & greet. I haven't told DH about it...he already thinks I'm a Disnut :teeth:

I would join in on a magnet/postcard trade.

If I can think of anything else I'll be sure to post.

Suz....we were thinking about the Capt. Marvin also. What time are you going?

Aloha,
Jen

Hello there! I was going to order them from the place listed on the cruise meets thread. If there is enough interest in the lime green ones, I'll order them and we can decide what we want them to say. I think the pirate bands are a great idea, and I don't think anyone would be offended if you gave them out. I would think they would be happy their kids got something so neat! :sunny:

Hi Marci, and everyone ! :wave2:

I would wear a lime green band, and i'll happily bring postcards from the uk :thumbsup2 - not sure about the magnets but i'll bring some goodies to eat ;)

Are we going to have the 3pm meet in the promande lounge ?Its mentioned on quite a few cruise meet threads.

Finally we have some sun today -its starting to feel like summer :woohoo:

Helen! 3:00 in promande lounge sounds like a great idea. :thumbsup2 See you there. ;)

I think a meeting at 3 sounds wonderful!

Marci- thanks for starting the thread on the other board. I had read that before and didn't realize it was from one *my* fellow cruisers :)

I was also thinking of Capt. Marvins. On another travel board (tripadvisor) there are several really wonderful reviews of things to do at our various stops.

Helen- how melted do you think the chocolate bubble bars would get if you brought a few from UK? (I can't remember what they are called). When I was young and single I worked in Croydon at the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Project (when it was still in the planning stages). I was in love with those things! Also I loved the afternoon tea time. What a civilized way of working!

I think I'll make my order from Oriental Trading Company. If worse comes to worse - i'll save them for Halloween.

Hi
I think you mean aero bars, you get them in mint, orange or just plain chocolate! The idea is you dont chew them- just break a bit off and pop it in your mouth to melt! You are supposed to feel the bubbles on your tongue. ! I will certainly try to bring some if you want me too.

Any other requests any one would like me to bring?

Take care
:wave2:

Okay...3:00 in the promenade lounge it is :cool1:

I'll definitely bring some shell leis and have macadamia nuts to share :teeth:

Marci...I would be happy to help with the cost of the bracelets just let me know.

Aloha,
Jen

:goodvibes My Husband workes for a printing company. I will have him print a sign (that will fit in sutcase) and put it up so we kow who the DIS people are. SOmething like the DIS Famly Meet here. ;)
:smooth: I will do pens for the meet. :thumbsup2 I am getting soooo excited I can hardly take it. :cool1:

:cheer2: Ordered the pens last night. Can not wait till they get here to see how they look with what I put on them. :woohoo:

Hi all,

Its 1am in the morning here and I cant sleep :surfweb: , i'm thinking about the cruise and the meet and getting tooooo excited! ;) :Pinkbounc

Flo thanks for the sign, that will be really cool. :thumbsup2

Jen i know we've talked about the mac nuts before - but what is or are shell leis? :confused3 Dave and I looked into going to Hawaii with our DVC points, but getting there would have been too costly and long for us. Hopefullly we'll get there in the future. It is on our must do holiday list.

Middle of May
My dvc counter says 75 days :cheer2: that does sound too long.

Ive been sorting out travel insurance today -which is very expensive because of my back :sad2: still as long as it gets me there.

You know I havn't even been thinking about the wdw part of my holiday - just the cruise! We have 2 days before and 5 days when we leave.

At school this week we have been doing a lot of tests and I felt so sorry for the kids in my class. So when they had finished thier first test, to give them a break we had a competition. I told them all about the cruise ( Ellenor said she'd seen the dvd and was 'dead jealous'. Then they had to design a pirate outfit for myself. They had some really good ideas, although dh isn't into dressing up and I dont know whether I have the nerve to get dressed by myself. The children really enjoyed the challenge and worked hard . (Alhough it seems that I have to pack a wooden leg in my case according to Jak!)

Sorry ive just realise im blabbering to much -think i'll have a cup of cocoa and try to get back to sleep. :rolleyes1

Night all
:wave2:

;) Helen, I know what you mean about sleeping :cool1: I have a tough time with that. I keep thinking what else do I need to do. :cloud9:

What grade do you teach? 75 days :cheer2: I like the way that sounds. :boat:
