We are considering a Thanksgiving 2012 trip to WDW. I was searching for restaurants that offered Thanksgiving meals and came across Mickey's Backyard Thanksgiving Feast. Has anyone ever had this and if so, how is it? Are there characters at this meal like there are at the regular BBQ? The menu sounds really yummy!!

We went to this a few years ago--called Thanksgiving at the Fort. My daughter was 7 I think. She had a ball. There is a live band, the kids can dance on the dancefloor, and there are characters that dance and mingle with the children. We did think the food was good. There is no real "Thanksgiving" dessert--just Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Itzakakadoozies (sp?) from a freezer, but all of the other food is "Thanksgiving" syle. Not sure if you have been to Mickey's backyard barbeque, so you may already know this, but before they let you in there gets to be quite a long line in a que of sorts, but they had lots of old fashioned games for the kids to play during the wait. My daughter liked that so much that we had to go back later and let her play some more. We have also been to Chef Mickeys for Thanksgiving Dinner on another trip, and we did not care for it.

Were the characters dressed special? Or their normal Mickey and Minnie country outfits, Chip n Dale with BBD aprons, etc.

Thanks
