Any one get their ME Luggage tags yet?

Hi,
We are signed up for ME at the end of May. Anyone get their luggage tags yet? How long before you leave are they suppose to arrive? Anyone know what they look like?

You should get them 21 days before your trip.

Although they say you will get them about 3 weeks in advance, they are behind right now. I spoke to a cm today when I called to make sure all my info was in correctly, my trip is May 9th. She said there has been a delay and the first tags will not go out until next week, and that I will get my tags a few days before I leave. Sure hope they arrive in time. She did give me a # to call if I don't get them soon.

OMG are you serious!!! we leave May 9 as well, what do we do if we don't
get them in time??? (I'm sorry, I've had a super-stressed 9 days, all angles,
just REALLY need this to go well! Help please!!

Me too! I leave May 7th-no luggage tags here yet either. Has anyone gotten their luggage tags yet?

We were told they would ship them out to us when we booked our last minute trip last week!! They said it would be here before we leave . I sure hope so!!

We are leaving May 6th and haven't received the tags. I also called today and was told by CM that they were late getting the tags out and that we would get them "soon" and did say they would be sent out fedx. She said I should check back in mid next week if I didn't see them by then

We leave April 30-May 7, and we were supposed to have them a few weeks ago since we leave this Saturday, and still no tags! Yikes! We can only use them when we leave on the 7th though.

The blue tags with Tinkerbell are NOT the special Disney's Magical Express (DME) luggage tags. The Tink ones are just a nice little freebie that everyone gets, and has gotten, even those booked to arrive BEFORE May 5.

And also to clarify, Disney never said we'd receive them 21 days in advance, but that they'd SEND them about 21 days in advance. I've read on other threads there was a snafu in the manufacturing process, but that it's now under control and everyone will have their tags. Face it: may 5 is still about 13 days away. As long as you get the tags by the day before you leave, no big deal.

Worst case scenario? You don't get your tags in the mail, you retrieve your own luggage from baggage claim, and you still get on a FREE DME bus to your resort. Still beats paying for Mears or a car service, doesn't it?! It's amazing how easily we can all get so spoiled!

And by the way, I'm not talking to you from the cheap seats here, I arrive on May 8.

So far I have received my clear packet of ressie papers and all along with a set of Luggage tags that have the Castle on the front. Just have to wait for my ME packet of goodies to come. LOL We are going May 21-28, 2005!! Rebecca

This is exactly what I was thinking as well. Worst case scenario is we don't get the luggage tags in time so we have to bring our bags with us to the bus just as if we were taking the Mears bus.

I've seen info posted other places that indicates Disney will have people on site at the airport to direct us to the buses, so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone at the airport to provide information if we don't get our official Disney information packet prior to leaving for our trip.

I must admit there's a part of me that would prefer to take my bags with me to the DME bus just so I can be sure they made it to MCO!

Ah yes, we were not able to take advantage of the Free Express as it starts after we leave. When I first booked with a CM he was telling me all about the new service that we get. I had to correct him andsay um doesn't that start in May? It was pretty funny me knowing more than him but at least I wasn't over promised something.
Don't know what those tags will look like. We had the castle tags on our last trip in 2003. I like the Tink ones a little better

Just to clear up what seems to be some confusion...those of you that have gotten the little plastic credit card size luggage tags, that have the clear little loopy thing 'glued' to a white piece of paper, with the plastic tags, these are the regular complimentary luggage tags we have always gotten from Disney. They have a little piece of paper with an address area on them.

These are not the DME tags. I would imagine those will be much more 'official' looking...possible with bar code on them. Just don't want anyone to think they have gotten their DME tags if they haven't.

They are cute though...have Tinkerbell on them... total of 3 ( I guess one for each person in the party) I plan on using them as an ID card for my daughter incase she gets lost.

valandemmy -- Most likely you booked a package. As stated, those are bag tags, not ME bar coded luggage tags.
The bar coded tags look like the ones normally stuck around a suitcase handle by airline reps.

I heard today guests should start receiving their bar coded ME luggage tags early next week (via FedEx). And that covers guests using ME though mid May.
As long as that happens that still leaves plenty of time before May 5.

We booked a room only ressie for July 1 thru 8. Then we purchased our tickets with disney also. Can someone tell me if we will receive anything from Disney like luggage tags or PS schedule. Just curious. Thanks for the info.
