I'm excited - it's my first Disney race AND my son finally "gets" the characters so I can't wait to see him all excited. Plus, at my last run, my MIL taught him how to cheer racers - nothing better than a toddler yelling "wrun wike da wind!"

Vic! I'm with Judy on that and you gotta warn people before posting like that. I about choked on what I was eating
I'm soooo excited, between the ToT and the Marathon weekend it's amazing i can actually concentrate on anything else. Coming off my cold (a week! yuck!) they were the driving force that got me out of bed this morning and to the park to walk with Mom for 3.75 miles. I ran some but all in all coming off a cold I was happy and to follow that with weights and a treadmill at the gym. My days off are basically dedicated to those 2 weekends. If I'm not a super model by Marathon weekend it won't be from lack of trying Ok the ice cream might hold me back a bit
I think we are going to have to invent a new word because EXCITED doesn't even come close to describing how I am feeling about this event. First off I love WDW and thought that going in Jan (full) and May (Minnie) was really fabulous. Throw in a totally unexpected trip in Oct for ToT! Wow! How spoiled am I?! Then factor in the ToT party pace - since I am slow this is the first WDW event where I won't be looking over my shoulder for sweepers! Yay! Then add in the novelty of a night-time event with a glow-in-the-dark tech shirt and I am practically vibrating with joy. Oh - and yesterday I just found out that my XSIL is going to be able to join me for part of the week - she loves WDW as much as I do and the last time we were there together was her last trip in 2003! Not only is she signed up for the 13K, she recruited two friends! ToT will be my 7th WISH event and I am so looking forward to seeing my teammates, both those I've already met and those who I haven't yet! How awesome is this going to be???!!!

Oh, I agree, Dave. If it hadn't been for the support of this team, I would not have been here. This month marks my one year anniversary of my getting off the couch. I'd never been much of a walker, let alone part runner. Exercising was something I would do in 2-week sprints and then stopping for long periods of time. A friend put the buzz in my ear but it was this team that got me going.
