Any Off Property Suggestions?

Well I just talked to my future MIL and found out several people havent booked their hotel rooms yet. I have never stayed off property, and i dont want to suggest anything that isn't clean or nice. Do you guys have any suggestions? I am trying to give them a few choices- at various price points.

I've stayed off site a few times...and I'm not a big fan of it. The only place I've really liked is:

We could see Animal Kingdom from our room. The rooms were clean and had microwaves and fridges. we got the room for $59 on sale for Dec 28th. Not sure what the rate would have been. The only thing I didn't like was to get the car tag you had to go visit the ticket booth where of course they want to try to sell you tickets. They weren't pushy about it all though. which was great.

It was very nice and clean. It was a 2 bedroom villa so it was almost like a little apartment. If I weren't a sucker for EMH and running around The Magic Kingdom at 2am, I would absolutely stay here. They paid like half of what we paid for a studio at BCV.

As a Vistana Owner I totally agree. We're staying on property this time, but we've stayed at Vistana - Cascades every year since 2000. The 2 bedroom is ginormous! We own a 1 bedroom and we can get 4 people in there pretty comfortably - 2 on the fold out couch. I would definitely recommend it - you're right on SR 535, 2 miles outside WDW, and close to Downtown Disney.

Check out the Celebration Hotel- Nice rooms, pricey, close, quaint. Disney- yet "non-Disney"

Hands down, Gaylord Palms on the Osceola Parkway...you can almost see the gate near Pop Century from it and its beautiful. Lately its been running $99 plus the resort fees of $17

We love the Buena Vista Suites at the corner of 535 and 536. It's no more than a mile from the gate and all of the rooms are 1 BR suites. They're always super clean, the beds are amazing and you have tons of room. AND they're not at all expensive. In the fall you'll be looking at about 85/night for a queen suite. King suites usually run about 20/night more. They just remodeled all of the rooms last year. Plus, the BVS offers free hot breakfast buffet every morning and it's really good.

If you go the hotel's website (www.buenavistasuites.com) on Thursdays, they run one-day deals every week. Sometimes it's 10% off a queen suite, other times it's free upgrade to a king suite. I did this for the one night we're staying there in August and i'm paying 74 for a queen suite.

I'm like PrincessShea...if it weren't for EMH we'd never stay on property because DF loves this hotel. But he also likes being at MK at 2 am!

I ran into the same issue with guests. I was told $92 was too much per night for a hotel room (Pop Century rate). They wanted something less than $80. Where I come from that was a pretty decent rate. Anyway, I found the Orlando Vista Hotel (formerly known as Doubletree). It is in downtown Disney at the entrance of Disney. It is considered a Good Neighbor hotel. They have MANY specials as low as $49 for 2 Queen Beds. You can find them here:

It is a 5 miles from Sea Breeze Point...an 8 minute drive. I just made sure to stress to guests it is their responsibility to get to the wedding day events.

Thanks everyone! I emailed them with all of your suggestions! So hopefully they will book their rooms- I'm just not used to this- we are so used to planning our vacations over a year in advance and they're not booked yet. My wedding is in 75 days! LOL
