Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

I got woken up by the doorbell this morning. First I was peeved, then I realized it might be the MBs and was too excited to go back to sleep! Sure enough, it was them. I want to try them on but promised DH I'd wait until he got home from work. The suspense is killing me!

I have to admit, I don't love the color of my blue one - it's sort of neon. DH got the orange, which I do like for him. We have another set arriving next week (staying at YC for 2 days with these bands, then switching to AKL, and had to get separate bands for each stay), pink for me and green for him, so I hope I like the pink better. If not, I'm going to have to cover those suckers in whatever swag WDW has to offer!

Funny. I love the blue! I wish I had gotten it for myself. I got pink instead.

Signed up for the UPS My Choice program and just got an e-mail that a package is coming to me from "NGE, Memphis TN" for delivery tomorrow morning. I wonder what that might be?

DD got her yellow bracelet today. It is very nice. Kind of the color of a yellow mustard bottle, but not dark at all. It's pretty.

Multiple family members can have the same color. The bands are personalized on the inside so you will be able to tell them apart.

Signed up for the UPS My Choice program and just got an e-mail that a package is coming to me from "NGE, Memphis TN" for delivery tomorrow morning. I wonder what that might be?

Me too! It says delivery before 10:30am tomorrow!

DH had no interest in the bands or FP+. Said he wanted a KTTW card and to not schedule FP in advance of our trip. So I just told him the bands came in colors but didn't bother asking him what color he wanted. Now that I got us both gray and they have arrived he says how cool they are and that he would have liked to have had a color!

Schedule FP+ for him anyways. During the test you can still kttw it for regular FP.

What happens when you are already at the resort when the testing starts?
Will you be able to get MB and FP+ while you are there?

Or will it be possible in advance for the days that are in the testing period?

You have to check in on a covered date. You would have to break it up into a split stay in order to get the bands.

That is definitely the magic bands! NGE is "Next Generation Experience". Yay!

We got our MagicBands today! I almost hugged the UPS driver when he brought the box to my door.

Yeap, I scheduled FP+ for us for just a few days of our trip but not all. I only booked for the days we already know which park we will go to (based on park hours) and for the attractions that are usually hard to get regular FP for. Like Toy Story Midway Mania, Soarin', etc. We like to park hop a lot and also like to have the flexibility of changing our mind about which park we want to go to. Don't want to say, well it's raining so we would like to go to Epcot instead of AK but we have FP+ already scheduled at AK so we have to go. This all raises questions about how FP+ will work when it's done testing. Assuming regular KTTW FP is going away. Will it still only be three FP+ per day for one park? I might have to do standby for all the attractions except three? Or will the number of FP+ increase and/or will you be able to book FP+ for more than one park on any given day? Because if I am going to have to stick to one park, why would I bother paying extra for park hoppers?

Did you receive an email first telling you they were shipped? We are there the same dates (Oct 19-25) and this is the 2nd day the website says our MB's are being customized and shipped soon. I was really hoping they would come today!

I booked everyday, and if I knew I was visiting a second park, since ak closes at 5 and the studios is open with emh. I booked late studio passes so I'm guaranteed a ride on those as right now we can still KTTW it at AK

Plus I booked them even for days I wasn't sure about just so I had something....if our plans change it's a flick of a finger and a few button presses to reschedule, but if I don't see anything available that I like I still have something I enjoy

Mine were shipping soon for a few days before they actually shipped. If you haven't signed up for UPS My Choice, I suggest you do, then you'll get the email from ups the day before any package arrives

I feel bad for people who don't log into MDE daily (all right multiple times) or follow the DIS. Who knows what will be left for FP+ by the time they figure out its an option for them.
