Believe me, that time for an ADR on NYE won't get you an outside table. People park on the patio around 7:30 and just stay. But if you get sat inside, they'll bring you out for the fireworks (I'm not sure where, though - I was one of the sitters in 2003. . . . I tipped VERY big, though - we tipped as if we had had full dinners each hour and a half, and tipped 20% on each imaginary dinner, to pay for the servers time. EVERYONE on the patio at 7:30 stayed, by the way - the servers said that they expected it.)

They usually require you to put a credit card hold on meals, I believe.

On 12/31/03 Our reservation at R&C was 9:50 and we were seated on the lower terrace.
