I know that a lot of rides here are thrill rides, but I'm wondering if there are some that are more relaxed?

What do you consider a thrill ride?

Legitimate thrill rides:
Velocicoaster
Hulk
Rip Ride Rocket
Dr Doom Fearfall
Hagrids (moderate? On the cusp)

Moderate thrill rides:
Mummy
Gringotts
Forbidden Journey
Dudley Do-right log flume
Jurassic Park river adventure

Mild thrill rides:
Spiderman (moderate?)
Transformers (moderate?)
Simpson's
Men in Black
Popeye raft ride
Hippogriff coaster
Woody Woodpecker coaster
Kong (tame?)
Fast & Furious (tame?)
Storm Force (teacups) (tame?)

Tamest rides:
Minions (mild?)
Shrek (closing soon)
Jimmy Fallon
Hogwarts Express
Kang & Kodos (Dumbo)
One fish Two fish (Dumbo)
ET
Suess Trolley
Caro-Suess-el
Cat in the Hat

Thanks! I'm looking for rides that are like Small World, Frozen Ever After, Peter Pan's Flight, etc.

I’ve only been once so I might have missed some, but the only ride I can think of would be ET. It is very similar to Peter Pan but on a flying bicycle.
Edited to add… also the high in the sky trolley (I probably got the name wrong) in Seuss land. It’s like the people mover without the dark parts.

I'll echo what the previous posters said. Not many dark, slow rides like that. Cat in the Hat ride, and ET might be it. Then there are the outdoor rides like One Fish, etc.
Minions and Fallon both make me nauseous, but are very cute and fun, even if just listening. I really enjoy the Minions experience, even if I have to close my eyes.

One note for the minions ride- there is a Stationary Seating section at the front which has less of the motion and could limit the sickness. Of course, just watching TV isn’t exactly a “ride” ala Peter Pan or Small World.

Unfortunately I can no longer go on any Rollercoasters, big drops or Screen rides, so the only rides I can tolerate at Universal are E.T., Trolley in the Sky, the Hogwarts train, Pteranodon, One Fish Two Fish carousel (got a little dizzy last time), Cat in the Hat (has two 360° spins though).

Surprisingly I can still go on Kong with eyes closed on certain scenes 😅

Thanks all! Just trying to figure out if there is anything there for a younger child who doesn't like thrill rides! Thanks!

There's some other play areas in the parks also,. When kids were younger, we'd spend a LOT of time in the Curious George play area in Universal. If the weather/temps are good, there are places, where they can get soaked. I brought extra clothes. Also in IoA , there are several splash areas, but I don't know if they're open w the water elements working???

In the Curious George area, there's a building with a large play area, but not sure if it's open??? My son LOVED it in there, stayed in there for what seemed like forever, while he went around picking up balls, and taken them to the upper level to shoot.
Curious George Goes to Town

they probably could stand to have another nice dark ride, like Cat/Hat. Seussland can keep one occupied a while, especially if you re-ride things, and there's the Camp Jurassic area.

I’d definitely geared towards adults and older kids but…
At USF
  • Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone (play area)
  • E.T. Adventure (like Peter Pan on a bicycle)
  • Kang & Kudos Twirl ‘n’ Hurl (spinner like dumbo)
  • Hogwarts Express (train ride)
At IOA
  • Pteranodon Flyers (high up, but not a roller coaster)
  • Cat in the Hat Ride (like Winnie the pooh - slightly more intense)
  • High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train (train ride)
  • Caro-Seuss-El (carousel)
  • One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue Fish (spinner like dumbo)
- also visit the Jurassic park discovery center. They can do things like hold a “real“ dinosaur egg
- The camp jurrasic is a play area is like the boneyard at animal kingdom
- there are also meet & greets with superheroes, minions…
- Theres a parade too.

Curious George Goes to Town
When we were there last month, we noticed this entire section was open. Looked like fun! As far as I know, all/most of the kids’ play areas have re-opened.

Can you be more specific? I can give better recommendations if I know what the child's issues/dislikes are (drops, darkness, jump scares, motion sickness, anything I forget to list). I'm a ride coward so I totally understand wanting to avoid hard core thrill rides.
