Any non-park day suggestions??

When are you going? We are going the last weekend in November. We have planned a resort hop taking in all the Christmas decorations and cocktails. Kind if a Gingerbread bar crawl.

If you're there at Christmastime, go over to Fort Wilderness in the evening and check out all the amazing decorations the campers have.

Remember though OP is not going to any park so resorts and Disney Springs will only entertain for so long.

I'd recommend some day trips to the NASA Space Center, state parks, maybe see about swimming with dolphins or manatees, St. Augustine....

I didn't read the OP as no parks - just "some non park time!".

I would visit AKL to get a different view of the animals, see the artifacts in the lobby and if available the storytelling by the fire in the evening. Have a drink at the bar and maybe sample some appetizers.

Polynesian, visit trader sam's and then head outside to watch the MK fireworks from the outside deck.

Mini golf, lots of various activities at FW - (check for availability) renting water sprites, swan boats at the dolphin/swan (walking distance.)

Rivera roof top bar for fireworks viewing via skyliner.

Visiting the resorts, esp MK resorts and FW requires using Disney transportation. I would head to HS and use the bus except for Rivera.

If your going during the holidays I would add the GF and WL for the decorations.

Disney springs - bowling, hot air balloon or the aqua cars, Irish step dancers at RR and lots of live music at various restaurants and stages,

They have an entire thread about why they are not buying AP's and not going into the Disney parks at all while there.

That’s why I made those suggestions.

It’s not for everyone, but many of us would be content staying on Disney property and not visiting the parks. Lounging at a resort for a couple of weeks sounds amazing to me.

Another suggestion for mini golf. Fantasia Gardens is an easy walk from BC & it’s pretty fun.

If this is your plan.. make sure that you have reserved a golf cart WELL in advance. We were given that advice, we gladly took it, and happily picked up our keys amongst the lobby full of people who want to do this at the last minute (including some rich men who are trying to bribe the resort staff into passing them a set of keys off to the side... Hysterical to see their faces when they were told no).

This is the wrong time of year to believe that you were going to attempt to walk fort wilderness. Make that reservation today!

A multi-hour NASA bus tour was the best rest I can ever recall. When I awoke, most of the bus was sleeping and the guide kept droning on. If it's seriously your thing, you may enjoy it. But many people find it way over their head. I will admit, I am one of those.

We did a Summer week a few years ago when we bought water park APs (they were surprisingly cheap) and just resort hopped with the rest of our time. Some things we really enjoyed:

* A late Boma breakfast followed by walking around AKL and the Savanna lookouts.
* A Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream
* Dinner at 'Ohana followed by a sunset ride on the monorail to Epcot and back.
* Lunch at Olivia's, then taking the DVC Ferry to Disney Springs for some shopping.

We also had dinner at T-Rex, but I don't need to repeat that experience. The food wasn't quite as good and the atmosphere was more hectic than the average Rainforest Cafe.
