Any News or Rumors about 2010 Refurbs Yet?

Just wondering if anyone has any inside information about what Disney is planning to refurbish during Jan 31-Feb 6? I'm putting a trip together for that week and I just want to prepare myself for what I'm going to miss. I'm hoping with the construction on Toontown Disney will be less inclined to do many refurbs this time around. Any info is much appreciated...

Unless they are major projects (i.e. Space Mountain), refurbs aren't usually the subject of rumor. We all find out simultaneously when they are announced.

That time of year you can probably bet on 3-4 attractions being down over the 4 theme parks. The most common for Jan/Feb are Splash Mountain and Test Track. Both need annual maintenance and the slow, cooler months (particularly for Splash) is the best time to do it. The spinning rides (Astro Orbiter, Dumbo, etc.) also seem to close for maintenance every 1-2 years.

I'll join you in hoping for fewer than a typical January! Splash seems to get an annual face-lift every Jan so I'm expecting that to be down, and Blizzard Beach will almost certainly be closed since Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to be down in Nov. I've also read a rumor that Crystal Palace will be closing for a rehab sometime early next year. Beyond that is anyone's guess.

I don't remember much other than Splash being closed on our Jan trip in '08, so they couldn't have been too bothersome.

I heard Crystal Palace will be closed from Jan 3rd to mid-Feb for refurb.
