Any news on the T Rex restaurant in DTD??

according to the staff at the rainforest cafe in AK it was still happening. They are even promoting that if you are a member of the safari club that you can get priority access.

I think it is still on and it is so cool. We went to the one in Kansas City this past weekend for the first time and I was impressed. Very well themed. DS was in dinosaur heaven however DD was pretty scared. It is a place that those with young children will need to decide if it is really worth it. For older kids it would be a definite hit.

I believe it's still on. Screamscape.com posted yesterday and today that they're a wall up where they're starting to clear away for construction. I think it's down by McDonalds. There were even a few pics of the wall today so I guess they're really starting now.

I just went this past weekend in KC also and had a totally different take. I was not impressed. The food was ok but the restaurant itself was showing much wear and tear. It's apparent it is a very popular restaurant. I'm sure Disney will take better care of their version but I for one will not be going back. To me it didn't seem to have a lot of dinosaurs. I guess I expected more.

I hope this holds true, b/c when the KC one opened it did not honor the Safari Club membership for priority seating. They did give the other discounts. I haven't been recently to see if they are now honoring the priority seating. It would be very disappointing if they told people this and then did not follow thru.

According to the RC staff they are a year behind & to plan on it opening some time in '09.
