Any news on Rafiki’s Planet Watch?

Just wondering if anybody has heard if this will still reopen in the Spring? It was closed when we went late last year and I am hoping it reopens.

It's listed as an attraction that you can see. It says no times available, but is listed on their list of active attractions, not on the "closed" list.

Yes they could technically open it if they want to at any time.

Yes Disney has said they will. No word on exactly when though.

I heard a rumor on another board today that it might reopen this spring (March) but nothing confirmed. I thought that when they first said it wasn't closing permanently, Disney mentioned re-theming it. My next trip to WDW isn't until September, but I really hope it's open then.

Between no Rafiki and Kali I'm a little bummed for my March trip. Just more crowds for everything else.

FWIW, when I was there last month the CM standing by it letting people know it was closed said it'd open in March

What do you mean by "the CM standing by it"? Was that at the train station area, or is it that you can still ride the train, but the CM was alerting people if they got off the train?
I used to like taking the train ride, and more than once I just took a round-trip train ride without getting off.

Today, the cast member standing by the entrance to Wildlife Express and Rafiki’s Planet Watch was telling visitors that it is closed “for the season” and would re-open in the spring, which he said is April or May. They have someone stationed there all day to tell people it’s closed.

I hope it's open in September. My kids loved this.
