That is very sweet of you. The surgery was very long and complicated, but the result was as good as could be expected. The cancerous growths were removed as were the infected glands and they think that they managed to remove it all. It doesn't appear as if the liver has been invaded, but a biopsy has been taken just in case, and we are awaiting the results. We haven't been told as yet about any follow up treatment which may be necessary. I expect that they are also awaiting the biopsy results before making further decisions.
Roger is now sitting up, and has managed soup and ice cream!
Simon is coming down from Leeds this weekend to see his Dad, and guess where he has obtained a student job????? Yes the Disney Store at The White Rose Centre at Morley near Leeds. He just can't get enough of Disney!!!!
Thank you so much for your thoughts and concern.
Carolyn
I am so pleased that the operation went well. I do feel for you as my DH was treated for cancer 9 years ago, fortunately it was caught early and was of an easily operable type. He had some radiotherapy afterwards and is absolutely fine now.
I hope everything is as straight forward for you both.
I'm glad to hear the news Carolyn, I e-mailed you a few days ago but I know you are probably very busy now taking care of Roger and his needs. Please know that we are still praying for all of you. {{{hugs}}}
