i want more points already and i havent even been to any of the resorts yet. you guys keep talking about how you keep buying more points and i already want to buy 100-200 more points.(even though i really dont have the $$$$$ to spare)

Hi! We have 250 at VWL and we live in New Windsor (near Newburgh) and DH and I work at West Point at the Military Academy. DH went on his first trip home this part July on leave. DD and I went on a quick trip to WDW but stayed on points at OKW this past Feb. We're going again this year to VWL in December and staying for New Year's! That'll be 3 trips this year for DD and myself!!!! Hurrah for DVC!!!! (It's only the airfare that will keep us from going so often in upcoming years.)

I'm in Hopewell Junction, located in Dutchess County. Both DH and I are originally from the city area.

Skorpie, I feel your pain about airfare. Stewart is ridiculous. We head to either Hartford or Albany for better rates.

Everyone knows...north jersey is just a suburb of NYC. But no...I didn't vote in your poll!!! I would have included Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Sussex, Morris, and Union counties.

Of course if you do that you have to include Western Connecticut as well.

I voted Long Island, as my home is in Rockville Centre, but I grew up on the TRUE forgotten little island in NYC, Governors Island USCG base. Whenever I mention that I lived there, many NYers respond, "People live there?!?" In fact, good ol' Walt himself spent some time there while he was "detained" for allegedly being AWOL.

We'll also be at WDW for NYE: the 31st at BWV, then a week at the Yacht Club!

Born in Manhattan, grew up in Queens (elementary school P.S. 69), lived briefly in Staten Island, moved back to Manhattan (middle school J.H.S. 104) and finally moved to the Bronx in 1983 to attend the Bronx H.S. of Science. Never lived in Brooklyn but my Mom lived there (Ocean Blvd?) before she got married.

Only time I left the Big Apple was for college in Miami, FL. My family still maintains a residence there.


mle, I knew that people actually lived on Gouvernors Island!!! Many kids from there attended my junior hgh school (JHS 104 on 22nd St.). We all took the M15 bus to and from school together since I lived downtown. Wow the memories.

We have been a member for two years owning at Boardwalk, but have never been there! (Someday) Have been to OKW, Wonder and Magic. Also have stayed in San Francisco and London on DVC points. In the process of buying points for HH and expect to go there in February. Have no complaints. Love it.

Another NYer adding her two cents (are we ever hesitant to do that??!!) - have lived all of my life, except for 10 years, on the Hudson River from NYC to Albany (where we live now). As much as we love the city and its intellectual/cultural, etc. opportunities, I love WDW!! We own 300 points at OKW and will be adding on soon at BCV. Take note: DVC just got approval to sell in NY, so the price for us is $75 per point because we missed the initial promotion. Although we do many day trips to the city, we have stayed on DVC points at both The Plaza (underwhelmed) and, most recently, Shelburne Murray Hill, to which we will definitely go back when we want to do another full week-end.

Hi everyone! It is great to see another Capital Region resident who owns at DVC! We have 300 points at HH, though we have never been there . I just can't imagine using them anywhere but WDW. We are going home to the BCV in November.

I'm just a poor ole' DVC wanna-be and lurker to the dvc boards... not ready to make the dvc leap yet but keeping up. I didn't vote but I wanted to say hi to my fellow nyc'ers. I'm over here in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn (downtown Brooklyn.) Seems I don't know many other Disney fans in nyc-- of course, I kind of keep my obsession to myself, so maybe others are too.
