Any new rumors as to when the minimum point add on will be raised for all resorts?

Because of a getting a new car this year, the add on was put on hold. I REALLY want to add on at my home resort (AKV) for around 35-40 points before it sells out and definitely before the min. add on goes up to 100.

I know that it's definitely going up on BLT (not interested there.) But it seems there has been much talk that they will raise the add on level for everything. Anyone heard anything new?

There have been no rumors and I don't expect any change in the foreseeable future for resorts other than BLT. In fact, I would not be surprised to see DVC lower BLT add-ons in the future - but nothing has been suggested about that either.

I don't know about the min add on number, but I just received a letter from my guide stating that AKV's price will go up to $112 on Jan 15, 2009.

Jan. 14th is supposed to be the last day for smaller add-ons; if I am remembering correctly, I received an email with that date (Jan. 15th the 100 minimum point add on goes into effect). We were recently at the DVC office at SSR and I mentioned needing to do a small add-on before the amounts changed, and the staff acknowledged that date.

That is for the BAY LAKE TOWER ONLY. Add-ons remain at 25pts and over for all other resorts...even after 1/15.

are they selling SSR/THV points yet? My understanding is that SSR is sold out but I don't know if the extra points due to the THV's being declared are for sale yet. I also heard all other resorts (not BLT/AKV) are going up to $109 on the 15th...

no resort is really "sold out." DVC is constantly picking up old contracts through ROFR and foreclosures and will be happy to sell you SSR, OKW, BWV, VWL or whatever points as add-ons...(waitlisting may be required but it's more common at BCV).
