Any NEW incentives...

so if i am getting the 2009 uy pts do i have to pay the annual dues on those points along with my 2010 points?

Can someone remind me what the friends and family incentive included? Thanks

I'd be curious to know this too.

We received our referral postcard the other day. It explained the referral incentives but not what the F&F offer is with the referral :confused3

Haven't they made the F&F deal available to existing members in the past?

AFAIK, there is no additional incentive for new buyers right now who have a referral from friends or family.

Members who refer others, if they are eligible per their state guidelines, are always given the rewards, even if there is no buyer's incentive.

Does the offer for current 2009 UY points apply to an add on contract at VGC?

It would apply to any add on that is still in its 2009 UY. Anyone who owns a Feb UY would not get 2009 points. And, as soon as we hit March 1st, March UY's won't get them.

Of course, all is dependent on them having the points, but from what I understand, it should not be a problem with the newer resorts.

That will depend on the UY. Only June - Dec UY's received 2009 points in the first place so if you have Mar or April then no, it's not possible.

Just saw DVCNews is reporting DOUBLE 2009 POINTS to new members purchasing with a March UY.

http://dvcnews.com/index.php/news-p...190-double-points-in-first-year-with-purchase

Really stinks for exisiting members IMO.

I took a look at this and it is not double 2009 points. It's the same old, as it's always been get the current UY points (2009). Then you bank them into your 2010 UY which begins this March 1st so marketing can claim "double points".

I'm a little surprised that Tim is reporting it this way. My guide actually said he/she didn't want to claim it that way.

It's still a nice incentive to get you to purchase before your UY starts but it isn't a new special.

Ooops :blush::rolleyes1

Read it again & you're right. Swear I read it 3x the first time cuz I couldn't beleive it, guess I need some coffee.

Sorry gang!

ITA! I think it's misleading.

Basically it's a marketing ploy, not a deal.

We just returned from WDW and recieved info on the current add on incentives for existing members. We were told however that they need to have record of you visiting the preview center to be given these deals. We were told we only have 72 hours to make a decision after leaving yesterday:

BLT 120.00 per point base

50-99 points - 5.00 off per point
100-124 points - 7.00 off per point
125-159 points - 9.00 off per point
160-199 points - 11.00 off per point
200+ points - 13.00 off per point

AKV 112.00 per point base

50-99 points - 15.00 off per point
100-124 points - 17.00 off per point
125-159 points - 19.00 off per point
160-199 points - 21.00 off per point
200+ points - 23.00 off per point

SSR 112.00 per point base

50-99 points - 10.00 off per point
100-124 points - 12.00 off per point
125-159 points - 14.00 off per point
160-199 points - 16.00 off per point
200+ points - 18.00 off per point

Our guide told us if we had not stopped in and called when we got home we would have only been offered the 5.00 per point credit on BLT. We went originally thinking we would buy at BLT since we currently own at AKV and SSR, but with the incentive bringing the price down to 89.00 per point at AKV, it is tough to pass up. I know that the dues are cheaper at BLT, but it would take 20 + years to make up the difference.

Do you know if GCV is the same as AKV deal?
The deal you listed above was the same as the holiday cruise special...
so much for being special... :lmao:

Hi guys! My kids have practically grown up on Disney properties-we love it there. As prices continue to increase for our stays I've decided to buy into DVC at BLT for home resort. My guide has been quoting the $115 after $5 discount and as of yesterday...no other options.
When you visited kiosk or on holiday cruise offer, do you recall what discount was for new member into BLT? She has said I could have the $25 offer and if I had referrer, would be happy to use you if mentioning offer that you were offered opens the door to bring my costs down to say $112.

These threads are very helpful and I look forward to contributing soon!
