Although we had a great time in March, I am lacking motivation for a return trip this or even next year. I think to change things around we'll stay somewhere different and have a few Clearwater days.

A lot of my favourite rides lacked excitement this time. ToT, Spidey etc. I felt slightly under whelmed by Soarin' which was one of the few new rides. At the same time EE and Mummy Returns were great.

Does anyone know what is planned in the next few years at the Orlando theme parks? US and IOA have the space, but seem to have little enthuisam to do anything about it.

I am considering LA, but the traffic/driving stories are quite off putting.

I think I read somewhere Seaworld are building a new park next door to the one they already have:surfweb: if I remember right it should be ready 2008!!

See here for the New Seaworld/Aquatica its a waterpark they are building.

I personally dont need any motivation to go back to Orlando just got back on Sunday and going again for Easter and August. I could just ride Hulk, ToT, R and R coaster, Duelling Dragons, Kraken, Small world:rotfl2: everyday of the year.
If you need something more than whats to offer in Orlando I would not recommend LA. We were there for 8 nights in Oct Disney only have 2 parks and less to offer than Orlando, Universal was 1 hour away but took 2 hours home with traffic and preferred the 2 parks in Orlando (although Mummy was better). Seaworld and San Diego zoo are both about a 1 1/2-2 hour drive unless you hit bad traffic again which you probably will.
Worst thing about DLR we found was getting food around 30 minutes line at 11.30am in Oct. WDW with parks at bursting point no more than 5 mins at 11.30am. Dread to think what the lines are like at DLR at Xmas.
I think Knotts Berry have more to offer but we did not have time, something to go back for another year.
