Any must eats at F&W?

Looking at the Disney website a lot looks interesting at F&W. Are there any must-tries food-wise? I have been off sugar for the past month so the snickers macaron or the chocolate hazelnut crunch is calling my name, but I probably need to eat real food as well. The chile relleno empanada, french onion beef slider, and both items at garlic kissed sounded particularly tempting. DS also wants to be sure to get a shawarma and still talks about a lamb dish from Bengal BBQ that he ate YEARS ago.

Thanks!

Check out Mr CheezyPop on Instagram and YouTube. He has reviewed a lot of the F&W offerings and is pretty honest about his thoughts. I especially love this video - Food & Wine Day 2

Just got back from a trip and the Snickers Macaron was really tasty. We also got the Braised Beef Potato Puffs (tater tots) from D'Lish and the Cubano Slider from D'Lish which were really good as well. Unfortunately, I realized one bite into both dishes that it was Friday and I wasn't supposed to be eating meat, so my kids finished them up for me.

Deleted due to careless stupidity.

DUH! Maybe one of these years I'll remember to check the sub-forum title before getting wound up sharing fave Disney yummy stuff.

Sorry about the WDW invasion, guys. :o

We've had most of these every year (but CV2020:worried:) since 2017.

Our favorites that seem to appear yearly--

“Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce (gluten/wheat friendly)--Canada kiosk (Absolutely deeeelish every time)
New England Lobster Roll: Lobster with Herb Mayonnaise on a Griddled Roll (not bad at all, amazingly)
Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce--Germany
Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and Baguette--The Alps kiosk, near Germany (everything you want from melty cheese and then some!)
Croissant aux Escargots: Escargot Croissant with Garlic and Parsley--France (good but suffers from being kept warm. The croissant itself is marvelous, of course)

This is the Disneyland board. :-)

I've tried several of the items so far. I'd say this year is probably the best F&W festival in terms of food offerings. The stuff has all been really good!

I would definitely recommend (and get again):

Black and Tan Potato Puffs (Dlish)
Cubano Slider (Dlish)
Grilled Sirloin tips with chimichurri (Garlic Kissed)
Chile Relleno Empanada (Peppers Cali Ente)
IPA sausage Dog (California Craft Brews)
Snickers Macaron (Nuts about Cheese)
Cheddar Beer Soup w/Prosciutto & Fig Jam toasted sandwich (Sonoma Terrace)
Blueberry Bread Pudding (Pacific Wharf Cafe--not specifically a F&W fest item, but a seasonal spring offering that is fantastic)
Boysenberry Lemonade Hard Seltzer by Brewery X (California Craft Brews booth)-Probably the best alcoholic drink at the F&W fest, agreed upon by numerous CMs as well
Green Apple Lychee Mimosa (Uncorked)
Huckleberry Hard Seltzer by Brewery X (Sonoma Terrace)
Bitter Orange Mule (Garlic Kissed)

I'd recommend skipping:
French Onion Tenderloin Slider (taseteless)
Brisket Fries (a severe disappointment)

I still plan to try the following, which I've heard good things about:

Ranch Chicken Wings w/hot sauce drizzle
Carbonara Mac and Cheese
Blueberry Buttermilk Pie
Chicharron crusted Artichoke Dip
Glazed BBQ Pork Belly with mac salad
Sake Melon 75 cocktail

It’s funny that no meat during lent is a thing in the states but in Ireland it’s just Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Wonder why…..

DS also wants to be sure to get a shawarma
I have to say, the shawarma in Avenger's Campus has to be the most disappointing food item I've ever eaten in Disneyland...but there are always lines to buy them, so I must be in the minority!

My favorites at F&W yesterday were the PB&J mac at Nuts About Cheese and the Impossible Slider from Avocado Time. We also had both the hazelnut crunch and snickers macaron and liked them both if you decide to treat your sweet tooth :)

I want all 4 of those!

Does anyone know, about the Avocado Toast at Pacific Wharf Cafe, do they sell 2 sizes? I see one in the app I can mobile order for $7.99 but it's on the Sip & Savor Pass. Is that the same size or a smaller serving? I usually mobile order at PWC because the line gets long but I would stand in line if need be to use my Sip & Savor Pass.

Thanks!

It's just one size. You will have to stand in line to pay with the Sip and Savor.

The glazed BBQ Pork Belly with Macaroni salad was really good. The Snickers macaroon was really good.

It helps being a local! I still have 2 more tabs on my Sip and Savor pass. Last weekend we ended up getting tacos at Cocina Cucamonga out of convenience, so I still haven't tried the carbonara mac and cheese, which is calling my name very loudly at this point. I have half a mind to go over there and grab some for lunch.

You are the first person I've seen who likes the PB&J Mac! I've seen so many people giving it just awful reviews, so congrats on being unique! (I've also heard awful reviews on the frozen guacamole, which, yeah, I get that.)

I'm not a very adventurous eater so a lot of the F&W stuff is not for me, but I will be getting that snickers macaron when I'm there in April.
