I have tried and tried to get ADR for CRT... Akerhus as well... Did get 1900 park fare dinner. We are going to MK, AK and Epcot and YES, she is a Frozen fan!

Keep trying for CRT. It was our then 5 year old's first trip, and the very first thing we did. PPO breakfast in the Castle was absolutely magical for her. When I ask her now 18 months later what her favorite things were (because we're prepping for our next trip - a surprise to her, just like our first) she always says CRT.

At that age my daughter enjoyed meeting characters more than rides. Any characters. Even movies she had never seen. Every character. We waited like 30 minutes for the White Rabbit (one pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small) to come back from break even though she'd never seen Alice in Wonderland. We met Marie even though she'd never seen Aristocats. We met every princess multiple times. Characters, characters, characters. That was what she wanted to do. Over and over. She would meet every princess 20 times per day if possible.

Both of my granddaughters love meeting princesses, any of them. If you can't get the Boutique, try for the Pirates League. They have a mermaid package there, and it will still be special. Keep watching the restaurant reservation forum for cancellations. I have successfully passed off every reservation I was going to drop, most recently a BOG. I like Akershus better than CRT, but the castle is magical, so keep trying. Also call. Sometimes you're successful on the phone while the website shows nothing. Not often, but sometimes. If your daughter isn't shy, we took our granddaughter to the Grand Floridian for the Wonderland Tea Party. It's an event just for kids, not parents, so we had lunch on the patio overlooking the MK castle while she played games, had "tea" and made keepsakes. Keep trying and don't get discouraged. Things have a way of working out, and they have a wonderful time!

My 5 year old looooooved all the big rides. Meeting the characters was fun, but she preferred the big rides. We are going again in a couple months and she keeps begging for AK first so she can do Mt Everest again. That being said she loved Crystal Palace and we are doing BBB this next trip. (She will be 6)

My DD5 loved It's a small world and the tiki birds -IASW is her absolute favorite. She was completely thrilled meeting Elsa and Anna as well as Gaston. All the character stuff she really liked. Enchanted Tales with Belle is awesome -even my son liked it. She also loved the Electrical Parade. Other favorites include the Carousel, Philharmagic, Tomorrowland speedway and of course Peter Pan's Flight (the regular line queue has some really cute stuff to keep kids occupied). We haven't done it but I would include Magic/Talking Mickey. She also really liked the Pirate Treasure Hunt (can't remember what that's called). At AK her favorite was the Kali River Rapids and Lion King Show and Flights of Wonder. At HS she absolutely loved Star Tours and Fantasmic. She's a Frozen fan but I think enjoyed Star Tours and Fantasmic more. She also really liked Jedi Training. At Epcot, I think her favorite was Mission Space green, Illuminations and 3 Cabelleros ride in Mexico. She also liked the Pick a Pearl in Japan. She said her favorite restaurants were Raglan Road (at Disney Springs and has Irish dancing and music), Hoopdedoo Revue, and breakfast at Ohana (the first time to meet Mickey and were beyond thrilled). We ate at CRT as well and she enjoyed it but liked the others better -she did really like the glass slipper dessert. I would like to do CRT again someday when she's a little older to appreciate it more. BOG is amazing on the inside but I'm not sure she took it all in.

Many good ideas listed here already. We took ours on their first trip in Feb, including my 5 year old daughter.

Get the 1st Trip button. She loved BBB in the castle. We brought her Elsa dress from home, don't buy it there. Cast members called her Queen Elsa the rest of the day. All of the meet and greets were big hits, especially the princesses. Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Sophia and Doc McStuffins were her faves. If she likes Star Wars, Jedi Training is a must. My girl loves Star Wars. May want to show her some videos beforehand so she knows what it is. Studios also has a Disney Junior puppet show on stage that she would most likely enjoy, and the Frozen show is very entertaining, even for grownups. Something as simple as riding the Monorail was big deal. Good spot to rest for a bit, and like a ride for her.

Probably the biggest must do, is schedule some resort time and rest time. Oh, and rent a stroller.

Enjoy every moment, the first trip is special, and kind of emotional watching them experience the place for the first time.

Enchanted tales with Belle in Magic Kingdom. She can be a part of the show and meet Belle. It's great

I agree with this one too, 100%. DD5 was too shy to join in the acting parts, but they came to her in the seats afterward and took her to Belle for a photo and meet. It was really so nice.

Following! When we go next September my DD will be turning 5 during the trip.

If you have a budget to splurge...my daughter LOVED the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian and Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. She also REALLY liked the water parks as they have "her" sized water slides and tubes (not often for that age group...usually toddler sized and big kid sized). She also really enjoyed meeting all the princesses, and Epcot was a great place to do that when we where there last year.

I wouldn't get discouraged with CRT, most times I have gone I got the reservation the day prior. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, and people cancel all the time.

My best suggestion would be to call every day at different times. That is what was suggested to me the one time I called and I ended up with a reservation.

Keep trying for the ADR, and if you are flexible, keep trying the week and day before you want the meal. I snag a BOG the night before in the middle of July just by looking randomly while waiting in line for rides or character. You can try it right now, look for dates in the next few day and you'll see cancellations pop up.

Honestly, at 5, my son doesnt speak English and he enjoyed everything. You can't go wrong ;)

At Epcot, he love the little passport and kidcot to get stamp in each countries. A good activity to keep kids interested and invested since there is less ride.

About DHS, I totally understand if it just does not fit, but if it's because you think it wouldnt appeal to your kid: there is a Beauty and the beast show, a Ariel ride, Disney Junior, Frozen show, Toy Story ride (usually most children I know favorite ride), Olaf meet, and the beautiful Fantasmic show. And Star Wars if your girl likes it! So it's worth a few hours IF you can :)

Last year, my LO's favorite things were: Wishes, Enchanted Tales with Belle (she was Chip), and Ashkerus. This trip she wants to try BBB.

The Mickey meet and greet at Magic Kingdom was fun for our granddaughter when she was 5. Unless it has changed this Mickey talks and really blew her away.. Lots of fun
