What is better higher pay with less vacation or lower pay with more vacation? How would I llok at it? Is there a formula?

I would say it depends on your priorities. If you need the money, higher pay with less vacation would be good. If time off is more important to you, less pay but more vacation would be better.

I know, I'm no help ;)

Best thing would be to find something you enjoy doing regardless of pay or vacation time.

Welcome back to the CB, jamsmom. Nice to see you.

I would think it would just be what was more important to you, more money or more time off. I think it can't be calculated.

Is there a way to figure out what would be equal? Fair to both?

If money and vacation time are of equal importance to you, you can calculate it this way.

Salary/Weeks you're expected to work

So if it's a $50,000/year job with 2 weeks vacation, you'd divide $50,000 by 50, meaning that you'd earn $1000/week.
