Any Magic Halloween Cruisers 2003 out there?

Karen - you will be making the reservations for us with you for Brunch and High Tea. At least that's what I thought - we are willing to go with your decisions ----

I have had this revelation - I was at my favorite book store today (GOODWILL) and twice I saw the same book (that's pretty rare considering the title)......"God is an Englishman" - Okay, I bow to your decisions from now on!!

Rae

Dear KEH -- my last name is Strissel. I'll be in the company of my husband, Chris, and my son, Robert. If you want to catch a glimpse of me and my family, why not check out www.strissel.com.

Actually, a couple of decades ago, my last name was Hopp. A good German name, huh? You know, hop, an ingredient in beer. Well, as fate would have it, I married a "Strissel", which, wouldn't you know it, is a type of "choice hop" used in beer. So, I'm just the regular hop and the spouse and son are the choice ones.

As for packing, my guest bedroom looks like a tag sale. Clothes, hangers, toiletries are everywhere. Happy packing everyone.

Sandy

Well, Sandy, that couldn't have been simpler could it!?! Blame my age and the stress of packing.

Rae, I will do the brunch booking if you like. Carolyn, shall I book for you as well? 3 people, right. Hope I don't mess this up!

God is an Englishman, hey? Not sure about the "man" part. Just joking!

Off to get the kids sorted for school then back to the packing.

Sandy - I just love your sense of humor! That is so interesting and so coincidental. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Rae

Our last name in German means "rule hard" - Reichert - or so we have been told!

Your age - it's having three kids that's stressing you out not your age!!!

Thanks for doing the booking - I am sure we will see you at the Port during embarkation.

Hahaha, God is an Englishwoman - hey, whatever floats your boat!

The stable called me to say that they have a fabulous 5 year old gelding for me - a paint - must be a great little horse because they said they'd hold it for me to ride when I get back off the cruise. Do I hear second horse in my future?!

Rae

Karen (and Rae) - Is it just our three groups doing the brunch? I would be happy to do the reservations, if it helps. We are taking a bus from the Swan so, might not be among the first ones there but, I'm sure going to try. If not, and Karen is going to book it then I need to tell you there are 4 of us. I suppose we should let dad come to the brunch.

I ordered a basket from Shirley yesterday. Can't wait to see it as I asked her to make it a surprise. Even got to talk to Norm, they are so sweet.

I know I am paranoid but I am watching Tropical Storm 19 Nicholas. It is expected to become a hurricane and is moving wnw.....check out weather.com, tropical updates, active atlantic storms

I don't what to worry more about, my house if it takes the path of Isabel they are already behind bc of rains this summer and fall or if it goes over Florida is affects our cruise and trip to WDW.

I know I sound like a certain paranoid DIS'er I "tease" but I am worried...........I have bad luck following me lately and no mirrors have been broken:eek:

Is anyone else watching this storm.........maybe it will break up or head north

Tiff

Tiff: I have lived in FL for almost 9 years and have been threatened many times with hurricanes and TS. Try not to worry, and we will all say a prayer that it will NOT ruin our cruise. As long as we get on the ship and leave the port I will be happy.

As far as baby names go, I think we are leaning towards Emily. I love the name Lilly Rose, but my DH says it's too flowery.princess: He also doesn't like the middle name Rose. So maybe it will be Grace or Marie (which is my middle name).

Karen(KEH) I pm'd you last night concerning this weekend, let me know if you got it.

OKAY, TorT bags are done! I bought everything I need from the store! And now I have started organizing my clothes to pack. It's GREAT to say "WE LEAVE NEXT WEEK":teeth: :Pinkbounc :teeth:

Have a great day everyone.
Dena::MinnieMo

I know our cruise can sail around it or miss ports and we will be ok but my house won't and I will be officially homeless :(

I like the names you have, it will come to you and fit her fine :)

Tiff, Does your house have some type of insurance covering it? I haven't been watching the storm but I can see why you'd be nervous.

Carolyn, I will do the brunch booking if you like. I will include your dad - I think Mark will be relieved that he is not the only man.

Dena, I replied to your PM. I will keep checking this board and my PM list till we leave tomorrow morning so hopefully we can sort something out.

Karen

Okay, after much thought and even more effort on Mark's part, we now have our t-shirts for cruise day. We will be the 3 people in white t-shirts with Lord of the Rings characters on, saying "Rose Greenthumb Halloween Cruise." We will have 2 boys with us in goodness knows what t-shirts.

Must go; last minute packing to finish.

Karen

Tiff, have you heard something?

Karen

yup - it has - I found a link on Carnival cruisecritic.com saying it was announced at noon today - hopefully someone can post the link

tina (poohbush) i just wanted to let you know that I did receive your fax and I Appreciate it :-)

There is a article on CNN Travel but it was only 150 cruisers out of 1500! Also this summer they had several outbreaks on Alaskan and a European cruise bc I cruised in July and also in August with no problems.

Use your cabin restroom, take hand sanitizers, take 2 antibacterial soaps for each bathroom and travel size antibacterial wipes.

Remind your husband's :p and children not to put their hands in their mouthes, noses and such.................we will be fine. I am actually watching TS Nicholas more:earseek:

Tiff

Hey Tiff, Do you have the link to watch the weather? Just wondering what it looks like - I have to agree with you as well, I am more worried about the weather than the norwalk - Hope I didn't just jinx (sp?) myself!

Karen

For some reason my reply did not post........go to Weather.com, click on Tropical Updates from there you can click on the info on Tropical Nicholas which will show you maps and images or click on Atlantic storms. Let me know if it does not work :)
