Any Magic Halloween Cruisers 2003 out there?

Andy - you are the reason I was convinced to do this when Karen asked me........so if anything happens, you are out of my will.

Also, when can we start booking for our birthday cruise?! I must be sick....looking forward to 50......
I did pull a "Hazel" already, someone asked me how old I was and I said "58" and they looked at me strangely....okay, 48 - whatever! Must have said my fatigue age!!

Rae, so glad to hear you're finally "settled" in a cabin. Sorry you had such a hard time. You're the one being inconvenienced, you'd think they'd be more understanding. I know I've said this before, I think you really got stuck between a DVC/DCL "war." Very frustrating! :crazy2:

I was just sent an email about special Halloween DCL in-cabin gifts. I'm passing it along, just in case you all are interested. I just checked the DCL site, and there is nothing about it there.

Carolyn- My DD is a pin collector. She wants to bring ALL of her pins, but we shall see.

Rae- My family is parasailing in Key West. It is 1/2 the price then CC. I am too chicken to go up:eek: Have fun at Universal! We are going after the cruise.

Poohbush- Thanks for sharing the info. I think I might order something from that list. Wonder how come I didn't get the e-mail.

I know DCL has opened dates for booking January through April 2005. I imagine within the next few months the summer of 2005 will be available for booking.:boat: :boat:

Carolyn, was it me you sent the PM to? If so, I haven't got it.

Rae, think we may pass on the parasailing. We were considering doing it with the boys - one with me and one with Mark but as James won't now be able to do it because of his arm, I don't think we will go for it. (Phew!!!). Maybe on the birthday cruise, if we get there.

Does anyone have the e-mail address for Nikki on Grand Cayman. I want to ask her whether we need a specific waiver form for Emma or whether a letter will do but the address is buried further down the thread and I can't find it.

Karen

It's time for my nightime post -

Rae, my daughter and I are parasailing at CC - Our time is 1PM - Please join us - We can wear depends together - It is something I have always wanted to do, but was always hesitant - Then I waited for Andy (VM) to do it - When he said he enjoyed it, I thought, well, if Andy can do it, I can do it!!!!

Carolyn, got your PM - Thanks for the info - I pm'd you back -

Karen (KEH) - Nicki's email is
nikiride@candw.ky
Phone (345) 945-5839
Cell (345) 916 - 3530

Emma decide on a costume yet? Can't wait to hear what it is going to be -

We collect pins - But I bought a bunch of the pins on clearance at the Disney Store and that is what we are bringing to trade - We are not seriously into it - The girls do it and they just pick the ones they like - So it's not a heavy collection kind of thing.

Rae, glad your cabin nightmare is over - wish it was turning out the way you liked - Love to know what is happening to that cabin!

We have a metal railing not plexiglass. We understand the limited view. Needed to get an handicap room for DGM. However, what are the child safety issue's? we are traveling with a DS (7).
How high are the rails? Should I be concerned?

Thanks, see all soon

Well, this is a photo of Angelina and I parasailing on CC this past August. "Try it, you'll like it!!!"

That is so cool Andy - Who took your picture from the boat - I definitely want a picture of us up in the air!

The kids can't see through the wood of the Navigator's Verandah nor the metal of the non plexiglass. SO, they have to be held up or UNSAFE UNSAFE UNSAFE - stand on something to see over the rail and look at the ocean.

NOT a very good idea at all - that's why we always go with the plexiglass and were upset about the change giving us the metal.
Even for us adults, we have to stand up to see the ocean rather than just be seated or look from our stateroom to see it.

My son is now 8 - and we've been cruising since he was 5/6. He was very curious and he thought he could just go outside and stand up on the table on his own. NO WAY!

Rae

Carolyn- My DD is not a serious pin collector either. She always brings the ones from the Disney Store to WDW for trading, then keeps them as momentos from each trip. She is bringing the clearance ones too.

I have a question about the spa please. I saw on the navigators that they offer reduced pricing on port days. Is that only good for same day bookings, or you get the reduced price when you book the first day. My DH and DM are interested in massages.

Glad I'm not the only one up at this hour.

Okay, can we all get together and scream...

WE WANT FIDELIO BACK!

Rae

Rae- By the time it is our turn to cruise, I will be in a coma from lack of sleep. Too much going through my head. All HAPPY things though!!!

Make sure you take a waterproof camera up with you while are parasailing, here is a photo I took of the Magic while sailing for peacefully above the water.

Found out I'm not going to be able to ride for a while - that dislocated finger isn't healing well and I am going to have to change some things that I do -type, play piano.....ride...

Going to get a move on, stable day today!

Rae

Oh, Rae, that's a bummer. It must be very frustrating for you but hang on in there. the obvious remedy is sunshine, ornage mango shrimp and shrimp.

Did you get any more takers for the Brunch? We are still up for it - I can almost taste the food now.

Not long till we leave for WDW and still nothing packed. And still no decision on costume from any of my kids. Aargh!!!!

We have managed to get a waterproof cover for James to wear over his plaster. Though he won't be able to swim properly or do Banana Boats or parasailing, he will at least be able to go in the water to cool off.

Hi All-

I really need to go shopping to get ready for this cruise. I am usually so A Type that I am ready 2 months before but this time I am a slug  ..............anyhoo I made plans last night for 3 nights at the All Star for the boys and me after the cruise. I thought hey new house is not ready, DH is gone, already in Florida I am just going to go :p

Tiff

Good for you, Tiff. go for it girl.

MY first cruise I packed weeks ahead of time and had eight pairs of shoes because I kept packing things I "thought I forgot".....oh please, Mom has already told me that she is coming over to "help" me pack if I don't get on the stick.....
Ohhhh, I'd better get a move on~!

Karen - Can't wait - and remember I only know slang British and even that's not so good!! And I'm a big Jeffrey Archer fan!

Has anyone else gotten a room change?
IF I get to port and 5622 is ready, then I'm there!
Gee, does that constitute "room change"? Oh please!!!!

Rae

Meteorologist Michael has predicted that IF there is a Hurricane Michael it will be during our cruise since last year Hurricane Lili hit while his Grandmother (Lilly) was with us on the DCL Western cruise.

Paul - did you really want to know that?????
Be careful of what you ask Michael when it comes to weather - he's better than Puxatawny Phil, the groundhog prognosticator in Pennsylvania......scary....

Be afraid....be very afraid!
