I am having a hard time trying to decide between Garden Grill and Coral Reef for lunch! I think my ds(7) would enjoy the viewing the fish tanks while eating, but I wonder if we may enjoy the food at GG more? We will be doing other character meals, so the characters aren't that important! But, I would like a good meal! Any recent reviews for lunch?:bounce:

These are such different restaurants. If you decide on GG, just make sure you insist on the lower level so you can see the environments below. Both are fun. If your party is HUNGRY go for GG. The portions at CR are small and much more beautiful visually. The wine and cocktails are better at CR. However, my kids love the peanut butter play dough at CR. GG gives you enough food to sink a ship. One of the funniest meals we ever had was at GG. We were one of the last groups left and Chip and Dale TPd the whole restaurant with the paper towel rolls used for napkins. You cannot go wrong with either. If you want better food, and like your food more gourmet, go for CR. If you want peace, go to CR. If you want wild entertainment, go for GG for the antics of the characters. Better yet, book GG for the Ice Cream Social and CR for lunch or dinner.

We ate at the Coral Reef in August 2003.

My DD6 had pizza which she loved. I had the Shrimp Fetucinni Alfredo and I can't remember what my DW had.

It was all really good. Just the kind of seafood I expected. Just the right portion too. It was expensive but the lunch menu wasn't as much as the dinner menu.

I felt it was worth every penny. It's a little weird to learn all about the wonderful life under the sea...and then eat them!

Do it! You'll enjoy it!

I agree with abitjaded: if you want incredible, intense, fun character interaction then go to GG. If you want a nice, cool, dark, relaxing, quiet place with great fish then go to Coral Reef. We ate there during our trip 2 weeks ago. It is an absolute must for us. We never go for dinner, just lunch. We also try to time it so we are a little 'off peak time'. We have never had poor service, never had a bad meal and the chocolate thunder is to die for!!!!!! DS, now 12, has been going since age 4 and he still loves it!!!
