Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

Wait til you do the drop-off. My husband still can't believe how fast and easy it is. Just follow the rental return signs. When you get into the garage, a person will direct you where to pull up. By the time you unload, they will hand you a printout of your charges and you're done! It's pretty amazing!

I read on the Flyer Talk Forum that the 57 and 67 codes are both now dead. They don't know whether it only applies to future bookings, or reservations previously booked with these codes as well.

I think we all new this code was too good to be true and eventually National would do something about it since they are in business to make money. I am really happy that they decided to eliminate the code for future resservations instead of taking a position that they were going to require proof of ID at check out to use these codes. This is very good news for everyone who had a reservation with codes 57 and 67. I hope people still continue to post on their successes in the event National plans to also start checking for ID. Thanks for posting this info!

While 57 is no longer working, I did notice that 67 was still working. I did check my reservations for August/October/January and they are still showing the price I choose. I have seen National change your confirmed reservation, so folks should continue to check to make sure your reservation price has not changed. It would be a shocker to find out after dropping your car off.

That's not good!!! I called the other day abou something and I asked the man about prices changing and he said whatever your quote is is what you pay, unless you add things!!!

You're right-I just checked and codes 8572987 & 8572957 do not work. The 67 code still works. I wonder for how much longer. If anyone is willing to chance this code, I would make ressies now before they pull this one also. Good Luck!

I'm just back and used the 67 code, no problem. Got the email receipt from National and was charged exactly what I was quoted.
BTW- I found Hess gas prices much cheaper on WDW property than here at home. When I left it was $3.89.

Just noticed that if you use the 67 code no coupons will work with it now. If anyone has luck with a coupon using that code please let us know.

I just earlier got a quote using one of the codes from Costco and they worked together. There are several different Costco coupons listed on thier site.

Lesson learned - DO NOT discuss or over analyze future codes on this forum, repeating them endlessly, debating them, calling reservations to ask questions about it, or discussing the rate with counter staff.

To which I need to respond - if this code was truly meant for the public for everyone to use, then National wouldn't have a problem with people discussing it on web sites and calling to ask questions. I believe this code really was a private code that accidently made its way onto a public forum. National cancelled it once they realized it was being abused.

To which I need to respond - if this code was truly meant for the public for everyone to use, then National wouldn't have a problem with people discussing it on web sites and calling to ask questions. I believe this code really was a private code that accidently made its way onto a public forum. National cancelled it once they realized it was being abused.

I don't call, but I do search for additional info. Seems like the best "secret" codes turn up pretty firm indicators that they really weren't for the general public. Of course, folks can use them as their comfort level dictates.
Personally, I'm pretty risk averse. I'd rather find a public code and have no worries.

Same here. I booked over a month ago, when the $35 coupon was still valid with this code. Since we've already booked and I have a confirmation (and also EA status), I can't imagine that they could change the price - can they???
