Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

What is the $35 coupon again? The ressie I did says you need to present it at check in.

The $35 dollar coupon I used is from carrentalsavers.com/national.html . it states $35 off weekly at national. Get $35 off weekly rates - use coupon code ND2119071Q - use for rental pickup by 6/30/08. Requires saturday night keep and seven day rental. Works on most vehicle types, no printout required (ecoupon). Good luck, works well with *6* code. :thumbsup2

It did not work with coupon *6* for me. It would take it off and then add it back on to a full size car in PHX?? Weird, huh.

I used it for a minivan from 5-9 to 5-26. My total came to $479.07 for the 18 days and I joined the emerald club for free through mousesavers. Go straight to garage and leave after stopping at the check out gate. No counter for us.:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

First of all, thank you for all those amazing codes you have posted!

Second, because I am new to all this coupon and discounts codes world I would like some advice.

I am from Portugal, I am 23 and I need to rent a car in BOS for 14 days. I am traveling on a budget so I am shopping around.

My bank's Visa doesn't give me any insurance, so I have to pay both LDW, SLI and the underage fee, which makes the rental price soar!

After looking around, I came across two very interesting codes:

- Penn State U, which waives the underage fee
- This Visa code (which by the way, after googling a bit, should have expired 2 years ago)

I just want to know in what kind of trouble I might run into if I use any of them. Let's say if I use Penn code and crash the car will my ID be checked and the insurance voided?
Same question applies for the Visa code (yet, this case I'll be paying with Visa).

Thanks for your time

I have to report about an odd thing that happened to me(and I will not gaurentee it will happen to you)

We went over Easter. I rented a car Friday around Noon(my ressie was for 8 days-I used the Visa Code and the e coupon for 30 off-I was very happy with my rate) I decided for several reasons to shorten my reservation to return the Car on Sunday(which I arranged before I left the counter). I got the car(Midsize-National) for $56 total...everything included. The 30 dollars off coupon held(and I doubled checked my CC statement too).

Has anyone else noticed that the EB 2 car class upgrade coupon forces your level of service to be counter instead of EA or ER?

yes, I noticed that too, when someone earlier here mentioned it. So I went to check mine and sure enough...counter service. I think I read someone's reply to this (here on this thread or maybe the other... I don't know .... i'm so confused now)... the reply was that 'upgrade' coupons do this. Well I don't want to stop at the counter so I re did my ressie with a $20 coupon instead. If anyone here knows better, any suggestions appreciated.

I did basically the same thing. I am willing to spend a little extra and bypass the counter. I removed all coupons from my reservation and the total price only wen t up by about $22. Now I can just go to the garage and drive away (hopefully).

Only coupons that offer an upgrade require a counter visit. Coupons that give you $$ off do not. Maybe you might want to look for one of those to add.

unfortunately, all of the current coupons expire before we leave (August). I plan to keep an eye out for new coupons and will add one if it seems to work. The other problem is the screwy way that coupons get applied with this new 67 code. In order to get the actual dollars off, you basically have to pick a luxury or higher.

I'm still happy with my current rate though...

Well...will i be the first victim of the *6* code, or is someone going to be there before me?

Got a Standard SUV from 5/1 - 5/9 for $191

When you all mention back-up ressies....how does that work to have 2? when do you cancel...you don't get charged if you dont' show?

I'm an airline ressie pro...rentals, not so much...:confused3

Ok, I just saved another $20  using the ID# 8572957 with the
NF1982JDD coupon. The ID I used is the public Visa code correct? Or what is it and can I use it without any ID or anything else. The coupon is the $30 off that is an e-coupon which I do not have to show.

AM I CORRECT ON ALL THIS? I believe I am, would someone let me know if they see something that is not correct? :confused3

I started at over $200 and then to $179 to $140 & now to $120 as I have found and used the different codes. :cool1:

Have a great day all,

YO
