Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

I just dropped my car at MCO and my rate was just what I was quoted. I did use my Visa but when I checked in I was asked if I wanted to use my Amex on file. I think you would be fine either way.

I was very happy that this code worked. I hope it is available for a long time. I was also able to save $300+. Since we booked so late for Presidents Week, the rates were through the roof.

We had a great time in FL. 3 days on the west coast, 3 days in WDW & 3 days on the east coast. Not happy to be back in the cold of CT.

My DH is in Manchester, CT right now and could not agree more. We are headed down on 03/21/08 and plan to do pretty much the same. We are staying at the Hilton at Downtown Disney then over to Busch Gardens and Clearwater, then over to Cape Kennedy. Can hardly wait!

We used the code also, 2/19 - 2/16....They also asked us if we wanted to use our amex that was on file. I originally booked it with the Visa that was also on file......But, hey I'll take the starwood pts with my amex.


We had great weather and really enjoyed our trip. It was a long day yesterday...Our flight on airtran was delayed out of MCO 3 hrs. Our plane was coming in from Ohio, had to be de-iced etc...then when it got to MCO late, there wasn't a gate available so it sat on the tarmac for about 45 minutes. We finally boarded and were pulling away from the gate and they stopped all north-bound take-offs while the severe thunderstorms went across the top of the state. We arrived in PHL about 3 hours late (4:30pm)....Got out of the city, up to Allentown around 6:30 and decided to spend the night. It was dark and raining, the temperature was dropping and we knew that where we were heading was getting nailed with snow. Schools closed early on Tuesday. Got home this morning around 9:15 and had the kids to school by 10...Not bad, they had a one-hour delay this morning so they only missed 1 hr today.

Thanks for the update. Ohio did have bad weather yesterday but not as bad as last Thursday. Glad to see you were able to use the code and was not required to pay with a Visa. Sounds like you might need a "vacation" from the "vacation"

the visa code is so great. However I have a question. Why are people not using the $35 off weekly coupon code and seem to be sticking with the $30 coupon code (I know small oint, but I booked with $35 off code today, which worked, but I don't want to mess this up over $5

by the way got midsize for $172, all taxes and various other inclusive items included

It looks like I needed to keep the car longer than 6 days. I received an error stating that I had not met the minimum rental days required. I appreciate the link - I will hold on to it. I was able to use the $30 off with the magic Visa code and did get the $177 rate.

From my understanding, it was an e-coupon. I was unable to use it. When I did click on National's online site, they had a $30 e-coupon. Click on Specials to go and then click on the $30 off weekly rate. It automatically puts the code in the coupon id space. There is no coupon required. However, I did print the offer and attach it to my reservation just in case.

I could not get the $35 code to work. I am only having the car for 6 days even though it is considered 1 week. I am wondering if you need to have the car for 7 days

I am not sure why the $35 coupon is not working for you. I have booked March 11 to March 18 (about 6 1/2 days) so maybe that is why???

I have read elsewhere (don't remeber now where) that the $35 coupon was suppose to expire end of dec but it has been extended BUT I have no idea if this is true or not.

I think if you are worried re using it then stick with the $30 coupon. i got the $35 to work so I am going to stick with it. Yes $172 and change for my time Emerald Aisle (this is with the great Visa contact id)

I looked at this visa code and it looks really good. I'll give it a try for my next rental. Seems a little too good to be true--but I'm all for saving money. Now only if the base rate for April/May could drop a little, I'd be happy.
