Any Luck With Codes a Week Later?

Has anyone had any luck using codes BAT or BAS a week later? I have been calling every day and I have had no luck for Poly 11/3 - 1/7. I'm wondering if anyone else had. A CM told me when cancellations are made rooms go back in as rack rate. Wondering if this is true or if anyone has been able to get a discount due to a cancellation. I'll keep trying anyway.

I picked up 6/9 days of our October trip the first day BAT came out. Since then I've not had any luck with the last three, and I've tried every day. As far as days going back into rack rate, who knows? I would image x amount of rooms were released for the BAT code and x amount will be sold. If people had a ressie at rack rate, when those ressies are cancelled they probably go back into rack rate. Cancellations probably will not increase the number of rooms offered at the BAT code. I doubt many people are canceling their BAT code ressies.

So, I'll keep trying. Except for the next few days--Disney has more things to deal with other than me getting a discount on a hotel room.

We were only able to get 1 of our 2 rooms booked at the EWP rate (AP room only rate) last week.

The CM said to keep calling back, another room might open up at the discount...hinting at 14 days prior (as that when IF people will cancel, it will be by then - or something like that.)

It never hurts to keep calling!

I got the Comteporary tower with BAS for Thanksgiving on Tuesday night. I had another room to book but by the time the CM got to the 2nd reservation they only had rack rate. I am hoping something will pop up again.

I got the AP rate at the Contemp after a week. So keep trying.

Yep, I got an AP rate at the Pop the day the codes opened. I then decided because of Pop Warner to avoid the values and tried to book a moderate instead.

The first time I called nothing available at any moderate for our time. I called the next morning and a room at POFQ had opened for our time frame with an AP rate so I jumped on it.

that with this much time, nearly 90 days, before checkin, he's "confident" I'll be able to get something off the rack rate if I keep calling...he was extremely encouraging, really very nice.

Hmmm....interesting. I'll keep trying to get those codes for my ther 4 nights. I'm thinking at the 2 week mark when everyone has to send in their deposits I might have some luck. So that will be next Thusday. Here's hopin'..............

Our TA with DU got us a room only discount and a Silver Package discount at Pop for Nov 20 - 24. She kept calling and as ressies started getting cancelled she managed to snap them up. She was also able to get us an awesome rate (94.00 incl tax) at POR for a long weekend in December. Something about going to WDW and not paying the full amount that makes the trip seem that much sweeter. Keep on calling, I'm sure something will turn up.

Keep trying - I've gotten AP rates just days before leaving @ the exact resort(s) I wanted, as well as DURING trips when I decided to change resorts mid-stay for whatever reason. People do cancel & rooms become available. I've even called within hours of hearing "not available" to it being available. Keep trying, & good luck!

I check our dates about once a day on the disneyworld.com web site. I got a decent deal through expedia, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Still not finding what I need on the web site, but the thing that's interesting is that it seems something new pops up every other day or so on the web site that wasn't there the time before. A couple of days ago on the web site I got offered Beach Club (water view I think) at the BAS rate, for example, which is not something I'd seen since BAS and BAT came out. An AKL has been there pretty consistently, but some new views were there a few days ago that hadn't been there before. So clearly stuff is opening up from time to time, at least on the web site.

I find the same thing, I check several times a day and usually the AKL is always there but have also found Poly and the CR just not what I am looking for and defineately nothing for my Oct. dates.

I originally had the Contemporary with an AP rate for 11/21-11/27 ... but was trying daily to get the Polynesian. I was successful today. Got two GV rooms for $209 plus tax each.

I used BAT to change the last 2 nights of our Nov. 24-30 trip to a standard room at the Beach Club for $209/night. This was supposed to be a low-budget trip, but I just couldn't pass up that great rate! Here's hoping the weather is warm enough to use the pool. :

I just booked the Dreammaker package for 12/6 - 12/12 and got a great deal at AKL. The CM was very suprised to find anything available. Must being getting hard to find by now. And with all the cancellations happening right now, I bet it will get even harder.

I haven't wanted to call in with Frances approaching. I feel like they have their hands full. Maybe I will call tomorrow morning, or wait for the two week mark.

I was booked into POFQ. I had gotten a post card and tried to get the discount applied to the rate. I was told that there were no rooms at POFQ but I could get a water view at CBR. Even with the water view, I still saved over 300 bucks.

When the BAS/BAT code came out, I tried to get back into POFQ with no avail. So I kept trying for availability there and the Polynesian. Today in the mail I got FOUR confirmations from WDW. They cancelled my CBR, two POFQ (which I never had) and took my deposit and put it on the Poly for 3 out of the 7 nights I am going. I know Frances is coming, but I was in a panic and called right away.

I could only get a standard view at CBR, so the CM said she would have a supervisor call my back. Just on a whim, I said could she please check POFQ and low and be hold there was a discounted water view room for all seven nights.

They must have released more disounts. I had given up hope. I like CBR but POFQ is our fave.

Somebody sprinkled pixie dust on me! Now I have the hotel I want. No I gotta get to work on the PS!
