Any longtime readers of the Funky Winkerbean comic strip here?

I hope so, because I have a question or two about the current storyline. I read it when I was in HS/college and have been reading it regularly for the past few years, so there's some stuff I'm not 100% sure about because it goes back a loooong ways.

I know Funky, the average joe title character, married popular girl Cindy but got divorced when her career took her to NYC. Recently, Holly, an old friend from HS, told Funky about her putting a "secret admirer" note in his locker years ago, a note Funky still carries in his wallet. I seem to remember something about a note like that from years ago but I don't remember what happened after that (probably stuff that happened in the time I wasn't reading it). Anyway, now Funky and Holly are starting to date.

All these years has Funky thought that Cindy was the one that put the note in his locker? If so, did Cindy know anything about this note? As in, did she let Funky think she was the one who wrote it, even though she didn't?

Ohwow! I have been following it,, but I didn't have a thought that he may have always assumed Cindy left that note,, or that she let him think she did. I don't remember the note even being an issue in the older strips. Humm,, food for thought.

I think Funky deserves happiness, I hope he and Holly do get together, and Cindy goes back to NY and doesnt' complicate things.
