Any "log me in" users or former users out there?

A client wants to use logmein.com to allow me to access his files remotely. He will handle all the techie stuff.
How user friendly is the program? I am functionally literate on a computer but far from high tech.
Is the program safe? If I can access his computer, does that mean he can access mine?
Will others be able to access my computer without my knowledge/authorization?
What else do I need to know?

Well, it worked. I just logged into his machine & opened his finacial data - which was what he wanted. I was actually controlling his machine.
It's weird - in a creepy sort of way. I know that I was looking in on him, but I feel like he could know all that I've ever typed. I know he can't but it's still creepy.

I understand what you mean! Dh has to do that for his mom from time to time after about an hour of: Mom, just listen... No, not that box... what do you mean you just exited? Mom the box marked file... it is funny to hear on his end!

My brother uses it often to use the home computer while he's at school during the day. I don't get it, but he loves it. Sometimes he'll type a document in word saying "don't worry guys, I'm just using the computer". I find it a little creepy when I'm sitting here.
