any local "chapters" of DVC?

Just wondering if there are any plans out there to make home state DVC get togethers more frequent and regular throughout the year? I emailed member services asking if there was a list somewhere of members who wanted to be contacted for get togethers, but haven't heard back yet. We would love to be able to attend one or two of these per year and maybe meet some local members. Thanks for any info!

I think it would be fun for us Chicagoland DVC'ers to organize some kind of get together when Mickey lights up Michigan avenue during the Christmas parade.

I second the motion. Maybe Pete could add a message board for local DVC/DIS meets. We just had one yesterday evening in Raleigh, NC and had a wonderful time. Everyone looked at Disney vacation pictures, pin trading and stories. I do believe this might turn out to be a monthly thing?

Anyone may organize a DIS or DVC get-together. We already have a place on this site just for this purpose.

In addition, there are many local meets planned in a variety of locations. These are often planned/organized on the Community Board here at DIS, but may be announced on a variety of boards.
