Any lines worth waiting in?

First trip to US/IOA in a few weeks. We'll be staying on-site, so we'll have FOTL. But are there any lines we want to wait in? Are there attractions where the line is half (or at least part) of the fun?

Get there early one morning and go through the regular line for the mummy. Take your time and really look around.

even with FOTL perc we make it a point to experience the regular line on ET once every trip, amazing imo:thumbsup2

I was gonna say ET too! Every time we've gone on that ride, in the middle of the summer and at different times of the day, there's never been more than a 15-minute wait. From the little pre-show video to the line itself, it's really, really cool in there! We also love the line for Dueling Dragons, but that's another one that we've never actually had to wait on since I went with school back in 2001 and we waited for around 45-minutes to get on the ride. The queue is HUGE and brings you through an entire Medieval castle. The line's usually so short that we walk right on through, and actually stop at certain points to take our time looking around. It's amazing!

I've never had the good fortune of using FOTL so I'm not exactly sure what you miss by using it at each attraction but, I would recommend the queues for Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Men in Black, Disaster and E.T.

I would suggest doing as many attraction queues as you can so long as you don't wait over 15 mins or so. See as much as you can. :thumbsup2

Staying onsite every year, we never had gone thru the regular lines. One year, I got everyone up early, and to the regular lines we went.

With FOTL, at MIB you miss an elevator ride and the worms in the breakroom (no biggie imo). Spiderman just winds you thru more offices and filecabinets and such...not missin' anything there imo....

Didn't make it thru standby line at Mummy...doubt we ever will :sad2:

I can't imagine you'd be missing much in FOTL lines....we don't seem to!

Assuming it hasn't changed in the last couple of years, IMHO (and my wife's) the queue for Dr. Doom is the best I ever seen. There are a series of "cartoons" shown which give you info on the ride, and the safety spiel, but they are done in the style of Eastern-European propaganda films. They're not just clever - some are almost subversive (i.e. "We will develop a peace-keeping weapon so powerful it will destroy all our enemies). My wife and and I have actually just stood in the line watching these, waving people past us.

The castle for Dueling Dragons is also pretty cool ...

The Mummy is one of the best queues around. You should experience that one for sure!! Dueling Dragons kicks butt as well.

E.T. and The Mummy are my faves. Maybe one day when I work up the courage to ride Dueling Dragons I will get to see that one. :rolleyes1

I love watching stuff waiting for "The Simpsons" ride. There was this very funny thing with lambs- I can't explain it, you have to see it. We are very big Simpsons fans!:thumbsup2

I would have to say the mummy too cause the themeing is great but then agian it is my favorite ride at the studios :thumbsup2
