Yes, I've seen it, but I don't think I can share. It looks, in the words of my friend, "like a puddle of princess puke." That pretty well sums it up.

Malcon10t, I DID think it was a joke when I first saw it. When I found out that was the real deal, I couldn't believe it. They traded classy for...cartoonish. And pink/purple/yellow.

I don't think the purple is part of it, it was simply the background it was on. Can you imagine a guy wearing a shirt with that on it?

The pics I have seen were posted by members who took pics at the meeting despite being told several times "No photography." Most have taken them down.

I have a pic of the new logo, but out of respect for the person that sent it to me, I don't feel right about posting it.

The new logo is absolutley horrible!! They said "Great time, energy and dedication to the history of Club 33 was taken into consideration by WDI when developing the new logo." Really? I see no Club history in this new logo at all! It looks like they sat a group of 7 year old girls down and came up with the new logo to please them. It's VERY Princess looking, not classy like the old logo. If they're so concerned about the history of the Club, why didn't they just leave the logo alone?!!

That's exactly what it looks like...as if it were designed and aimed at juvenile girls.

I'm glad the purple is just background. I wasn't sure about that. Still, I have to agree with you...I don't think many men are going to want that logo on their hats, shirts, etc. Heck, *I* don't even want it!

I liked the old "Haunted Mansion" logo. I never thought of it as HM but more NOS. Now it looks like Fantasyland.

If you want to get an idea of what the logo looks like, imagine Belle's skirt with an elongated 33 on it. With curlicues, and looking kind of like it partially melted, and on a pinkish-purple background (which hopefully will not be part of the actual logo but just a poor choice for display purposes).

Hmmm....I never once thought Haunted Mansion when I looked at the old Club logo, but I deninetly think PRINCESS now! I hope they keep the navy and gold theme. At least those are classy colors. What a bad idea to display the new logo on a pinkish purple background. A dark royal purple would have been a better choice.

Wow - I hope the other changes will respect the history of the club (even if I am not a member). Some things shouldn't be cheapened.

We were very lucky to visit the club as a guest, and really treasure those memories. I hope future wide-eyed Disney fans will still be able to have experiences like ours.

I'm still hoping this turns out to be a joke. I just can't imagine they're serious-- it just defies logic. However, I did hear it was also confirmed in writing.

In giving it more thought, I decided the old logo does have a little HM look to it, but for a good reason. It goes along with the fact that both Club 33 and HM were designed to display Victorian elegance. I never once saw the logo and thought "Haunted Mansion!" Many things in DL have that look because of Walt and Lillian Disney and their fondness for the period.

I was lucky enough to have breakfast at Club 33 during a Backstage Magic tour a couple years ago. It was lovely. I am hoping they get the rehab finished by my tour this July. I do see the HM influence sort of in the old logo, I wish I could see the new one, can't find a link for the new one, but it sounds awful.

Exactly! I find that explanation pretty silly considering what they came up with instead. Change isn't always bad, and I was willing to give a new logo the benefit of the doubt as I couldn't imagine they would want to mess too much with the elegant look of the original. I hope it's just one of those "false ending" kind of things where they throw something out to get everyone on the wrong track and distract them from the real thing. Please let that be it.

ETA: Are the numbers purple? Because they sure looked purple in the picture I saw, with areas of pinkish to look like light reflection or something.

Nope.... Servers are being fitted for new uniforms (and from what I have heard, will include coats) next month, but, not much else. Logo is still ugly, but the coloring improved.

That logo is horrid. Just the font makes it look like something out of the 1980s.
