getting close to leaving for my first onsite Universal trip..Any last minute tips,tricks or pointers for me? Thanks so much to all the wonderful people on this board that helped me get ready!!

Have you heard of the Universal secret entrance??? Whenever we go, we have planned on going to WWOHP from 8am to 12pm and the going over to universal for a couple of hours. There is a secret entrance near the blue man group theatre. It enters through the rip ride rockit area. If you look it up, there is a video showing where it exactly is.

I don't think you can enter this way. You used to be able to at least exit here, but I'm not sure even that's true anymore since the Jimmy Neutron/Despicable Me redo. I left many times from the Studios to go to IoA using this route, but I don't remember any turnstiles for entrance--only a lonely TM guarding it.

To the OP, I think you're ready. Just remember to have fun and try to avoid comparing it to the motherland.

that entrance was available in mid october but haven't heard many talk about it since.
i used it for the single rider line.


if you don't want to carry cash or cc with you, or charge back to your hotel, buy the gift cards at the park to use.


if you go park to park, use the short cut along side of the HRC.
walk by BMG to the check point for tickets to enter the UO park.
(you'll come out by the old jimmy neutron building on the left)


show your AAA or APH card everywhere for the 10% discount.


eat at off times if the lines for food places are too long.



first aide will give you bandages, ice packs, headache meds.

pick up the guide maps then you enter the park.
time changes of any sort will be listed on them.
character greetings listed, show times listed, etc.

if you keep a journal of your daily activities, use the guide park map to help you.
list the times on the rides when you do them, list your eating places and a few words of what you liked, etc.


if you have the APH or a multi day ticket, go to the gs at citywalk and get your free coupon booklet. (it applies to city walk places)


now go and have a fun time at the darkside.......!!
