Any Land Rover owners here?

We are looking at buying a second hand Land Rover Discovery and was wondering if I could get any feedback from some of you who already have one or have had one. How many miles on yours, how many more do you expect to put on it before it's done? I know the gas mileage isn't great, but with the four of us plus a big dog who goes about everywhere with us, we can't drive a small vehicle. What do you like about it or what do you not like about it??
