Any kitty sitings lately?

Was watching Darby OGill last night (OMG Sean Connery was so young) and at the beginning Darby had the kitty and it just got me thinking about the kits running around Disneyland. Husaband had some old thing he had taped on the making of Darby too and it was lovely-- have never seen Walt talk so much, very amusing.

Yeah I saw two at the Hungry Bear while I was there just recently. When I go home I'll post pics if I remember...

Eat at WHite Water Snacks at the GCH and sit outside at a table that borders DCA... one, maybe two cats will always come visit.

I see these two kitties all the time near PT Fleas in DCA... I tried SO MANY TIMES to pet them, but they won't have any of it... Apparently, they only like certain CMs, because I noticed a manager pet them once.

I see this tabby every time I eat at Hungry Bear. She is very sweet and has let me pet a few times. I think is is great that Disney lets these feral cats stay and cares for them. Most businesses like Disney, would have them round up and hauled away. It gives me big Disney warm fuzzies whenever I see them.

We saw the same kitty when we were there at the beginning of March. He is very pretty!!! He was the only one we saw that trip though. We usually see at least one per trip. DBF was shocked, he didn't believe me when I told him they let them stay there, the kids think it's cool that they are allowed to stay.

In October, we saw one sleeping in the bushes of the Chew Chew Train ride in the "bug" land at DCA. It's quite noisy there with Chew Chew's narration, but it didn't seem to bother him a bit!

We called that cat from hungry bear mr meaty , he only wanted meat , no fries no bun so I shared my burger with him! Some people seemed grossed out by his presence but he must have sensed it and hung out by our table even when the food was gone.

I've seen these over by PT Flea's too.. Actually about last year?

We saw a couple over by Whitewater Snacks when we were there in Feb as well. I bet that it benefits DLR to have them running around there, it probably helps keep the rodent population in check.

Thanks for the pics and info ;-) I think Walt liked cats- he's been criticized for villainizing them, but I know better.

We saw one in the flower bed by the statues in front of the castle. They also sun on the rocks while on the Mark Twain.. By the old... train ride.

I believe Disney actually brought the first cats into Disneyland many years ago for that very purpose. That's why to this day there are still new generations of kitties all over the place.

All I can say is though cats are so darn cute. And in my next life I want to be cat and live at Disneyland!!!
