Any issues with late check-in? (2 am)

Hey all,

I booked and prepaid for a hotel on International Drive in March. Although I paid for Wednesday night, I will not be arriving to check in until 2am on Thursday.

Has anyone ever run into any issues with extremely late check-ins? I'm sure that people check-in at these hours all of the time, but I have never done so myself and makes me a little nervous.

I'll call the hotel on Wednesday to tell them that I will be arriving late, but what I am worried about is that they will give away my room, give us a bad room that is left over, or there will be no one at the front desk. The last thing I want to do in the middle of the night is find out that there is no room available at the hotel.

You are right to be concerned about being assigned whatever is left for the night, that is just reality. Have you checked out this hotel on some of the motel advisory websites to get information?

Definitely call, in the late afternoon (that way you'll be talking to the people actually on duty for the night).

I had a friend who arrived late (11 pm) to a pre-paid LBV hotel and didn't call. The hotel walked her and her family to another hotel and it was time consuming and not the most pleasant experience with 2 young children.
