Any issues ordering off menu at Whispering Canyon versus all you can eat skillet?

Has any one ever encountered any problems ordering off the menu as opposed to going for the skillet at WCC? (Sometimes when a restaurant is set up with a specialty-the staff isn't thrilled to do a la carte.)

I'm sure it is great (the skillet), but there are several items on the a la carte menu that just appeal to me more. (and there appear to be some really fun looking desserts too!)

Also when you reserve, are there any special table requests to be aware of?

Only two of the six of us got the skillet on our recent visit. I didn't notice any concern or different treatment for the folks who ordered off the menu.

Disney restaurants don't take special table requests in advance. I would recommend that you decline to be seated in either of the two remote dining areas, unless you really don't want to be in on the fun which is the hallmark of the restaurant.

Nope, not at all. DH order the skillet and I got the nchos for an app, steak for entree and apple crisp for dessert. We were on the DDP and experienced no issues.

We didn't have any issues when some of us did not order the skillet.

However, if you order from the menu and then are caught taking anything from the skillet for yourself you will be in very big trouble!

If you order the skillet does that come with a set dessert or can you choose one from the menu?

The skillet does not come with a dessert! You will have to pay extra!! BTW: Only DH orders the skillet, the rest order off the menu, 2 child and 3 regular menu!! No difference in service.
