Any interest in an ABC swap? update post #107-8,p8

I am just finishing up an ABC book, and I think it can be hard to do an ABC book based on a swap in general because you may not have photos of the things in the swap.

For example you may not have an I is for Ice Cream photo.

Also, if we kept the pieces to more general disney items they would be more functional in other books, like the characters and the attractions. Leave off the "A is for. . ."

For Example

"Aladdin" for photos with Aladdin and/or Jasmine or riding Aladdin's Magic Carpets.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Castle

Donald Duck or Dinoland

Expedition Everest

I like your ideas. I have Disney ABCs from a previous swap and some have "A is for" and some don't. I can use the ones that don't in any Disney book that I have. Much more useful.

I think the leaving off of the "A is for ..." kinda defeats the whole purpose of this swap. I thought this was supposed to be an alphabet book swap.

However, having attraction based, Disney themed pages is perfect for the complete page swap. And I'm pretty sure that TPCShauna is doing another one of those. Maybe those should be 8x8 instead of the 6x6 like last time. Give a little more room for photos & journalling and extra embellishments.

How about this?

Everyone can make the "A is for" but have it be a separate piece or something that can easily be removed from the title.

Just an idea...

Any thought on how you are going to set this one up yet?

Yes. I have the info fro completed pages ready. I still have to get the info for the elements group ready. I will post all of it hopefully by the Wed or so.

Thanks to all who expressed their interest and thoughts on the set up of this swap. After carefully considering the suggestions of the group, AWM and I developed a plan for the 8x8 completed pages swap. It took many hours to formulate it and write it up. I don't expect to make changes to it other than clarifying points if necessary. I will post this here and in its own thread.

I am still developing the elements only segment of the swap. I hope to finish that either tonight or tomorrow and post it as well. If you have any further comments on the elements swap, now is the time to post.

Again, I appreciate your input and I am really looking forward to this swap.

Wow - Susan and AWM my hats off to you for comming up with this.

I think I understand everything...Looking forward to signing up!

Rhonda
