Any interest in a website for wanted/trading? I could start one

Hi all,

I have been thinking about starting a web site on this idea for a while now. I see some people would like to trade and/or are looking for something specific. I always hate that I know I have item, I dont need and other do... I condsider that a waste.

Let me know if there is an interest and I will determine if it's worth my time.

That's a great idea! I have so much stuff around the house that I would like to get rid of, but I hate to list too much on ebay in case it doesn't sell. I would rather find someone looking for a specific item. Every time I have a rummage sale, it's unseasonably cold and very windy, so I never get a good turn out.

Have you looked up your local freecycle? Go to freecycle.org and look for a group near you.

I also noticed something at Yahoo today for trades. Look through their Groups for one that might suit your needs, or start your own group (it's free!).

Along the lines of freecylce, but I would want to do my own site... just my preference. But need to be sure there are enough people interested...

I love the idea! Right this minute I'm looking for something specific! It would be great to be able to post my need and maybe trade or pay for it.

I have a message board linked off of my personal web site that you all can use for this purpose. It is linked from my web page. I thought my family could use it as a bulletin board but nobody ever uses it.

It is just a freebie site that you all can use until peacefulgirl gets something more serious set up.

You all may want to give me some ideas on what categories I should create...
