any input on ticket selection and DC question

I have a disney club card which we know expires at the end of this year. We are going to WDW for 6 days in Jan. and had purchased a 4 PHP because we intended to skip a couple of days in the parks. However, we will arrive about 11:30 a.m. on a Sat. and don't fly out until about 5:00 on the following Fri. I thought the idea of an AP was appealing because then we can go to the parks for a couple of things and not worry about having used a whole days admission. Now relatives that we love dearly are going to WDW for 4 days and then the 3 day cruise in July and want us to go with them. We're contemplating going but can't decide if we do go if we should return the PHP tickets that we purchased from Hotwire Savings Club (I asked and these can be returned) and buy the AP or to just buy another PHP. We probably won't go again until the end of '05. Any input on this? Also, if I purchase an AP from the DS can I still get my disney club discount? How much is the AP with the discount? Does the AP have to be activated right away since the disney club is going to end? Thank you for any help on this!

Im not sure of the price of the 4 day php from Hotwire so I'll just go by TDS dc discount price. The PAP is $500 with the discount if you divide that by 2 trips then you are paying $250 per trip which is including the water parkds, DQ, PI. THe AP's are $375 ~2 is $187 per trip with no water parks or DQ. So if your park tickets are close to $250, for 4 days only so you will be buying another for your next trip, I think I get the PAP's. Pluse you can also use it to snag a discount on a resort and a few discounts around the park like 10% off Planet Hollywood etc.
